Where are the angry young men (and women)? We're living in a society where the government couldn't give a toss about people, especially young people, unless they're filthy rich. Young people can't afford to buy or even rent a house and the job situation is getting worse by the day. The problem seems to lie in the relentless hammering of any expression of anger in society. We have become passive and emasculated, castrated by the hand-wringing mantra of never causing anyone "offence". Agitators like political left-wingers and trade unions are vilified as extremists and "loony lefties". We're being told by the most vile advertising campaign I've seen in decades to "Keep Calm and Carry On." I say: Bollocks to that. Get up and get out there, shout and scream and make your voice heard otherwise nothing will ever change; we will just roll over, spread our cheeks and let the government **** us up the arse forever. Young Britain needs to wake up.
i agree sam. this load of bollocks is getting out of hand. cameron and his bunch of asset stripping arseholes need to be told that enough is enough. time the common man told him to lower prices of fuel and petrol and then to **** OFF OUT OF IT!!!!!!!
Because despite the fact that things are somewhat ****ty, it doesn't change the fact that even the poorer section of the population do still live a pretty comfortable life. Rebellions, for better or worse require an oppressive government or unbearable conditions.
We are the middle children of history with no purpose or place. We have no great war, or great depression. Our great war is a spiritual war. Our great depression is our lives. We were raised by television to believe that we'd be millionaires and movie gods and rock stars, but we won't. And we're slowly learning that fact. And we're very, very pissed-off.
old ****s allowed the world to be the way it is, now you want us to sort ur **** out **** off, were busy getting high and not giving a ****
That is the best film ever! But to answer the OP, the old adage that rebellion is only ever 3 missed meals away still holds true, people are poor, have little prospects, but until they start starving you wont get the mass rebellion you are looking for.
"The only thing preventing a revolution is the fear we may lose the scraps they throw us", forgot who said it but its remarkably true
Plenty of jobs out there, we wouldn't have hundreds of thousands of people coming to this country to work if they couldn't find any.
