Where is MalteseMick?

    Probably been asked before but not seen since Aug 17

    Firstly, is he OK?

    For months now we have been without the Search facility. This underlies other functions (eg clicking on the number of messages to see a member's previous posts). It may be a coincidence but the problem seemed to start about the time we had the site down and Mick recovered it. Maybe the index needs re-building (or needed re-building at the time) or that the forum has reached a stage where it requires the advanced search engine. Given the timing of the problem, my money would be on the former.

    This has been raised on the mods board in the past but obviously, without Mick we are ****ed as far as this is concerned.

    So, if anyone has any contact with Mick, could they let us know what the situation is:
    (a) regarding his well being
    (b) if he's OK, whether anything can be done to resolve the search malfunction

    Thanks and apologies for raising on this forum - it is a last resort plea
