Does anybody know what's happened to Lee Barnard? Is he still injured? Is he fit to play but being kept out of the setup intentionally? I haven't actually seen him with the rest of the squad at any stage this season except for the team photo. I sometimes see the players in the carpark at St Marys on matchdays and at no point have I seen him this season - you would have thought he'd be there to offer his support like Jaidi has been, seems odd. I hope he does come back soon - the prospect of a fully fit Barnard tearing it up in this league would be a great one!
Have seen him in training pics and someone mentioned speaking to him after a match, so think he's around. Think he was at the fitness testing at Southampton University..bit hard to see with a mask on but it looked like him on the treadmill in the picture. Must be close to fully fit, but he has to wait his chance to get in team.
I've seen him on the touchline pre-match before, but as far as I know he's closing in on a return from injury
The OS said he was in contention for the Watford game, maybe we didn't want to risk him? Though either way I don't know if I'd want to drop Connolly at the moment.
