Obviously we have a difference of opinion. I think he is the best young midfielder in the world, we are a massively improved team with him in and he is no more injury prone than any other player. Yes we did well without him today but that doesn't take away all the other times when he has won a match for us.
You do have a point about how his impact on the team is similar to Henry's and I agree that sometimes we are too predictable in attack as everyone loses the initiative to do anything but pass to him. However for the time being the benefits outweigh the positives in my opinion. I like debating with you too
We do tend to rely on fabregas to much when he is in the team, and if he's off form it effects the whole team, we need other players to realise he's not the only one there and the likes of Nasri etc to pull their weight more!
Can't agree that not having Fabregas in the team is a good thing, but I can see the point that is being made. sometimes when he is off form it affects the whole team. Without him today, Wilshere and Ramsey were immense.
I do - it was much like United with Ronaldo. He was amazing and our team had so much more threat when he was playing, but in his last season we were just looking for him all the time, and when he didn't fire (like in the CL final or against Liverpool) our whole team seemed to struggle. So he was a big loss, but not as big a loss as you would have expected given how good he was for us.
