On the thread about Adel staying it sounds as though TBGWTDT is proferring his goodbyes and leaving following Northolt, col and others.
Where is everyone going
What other board is pinching our players

Very sad. Must be some kind of virus.

They've been tapped up by other boards I'm afraid.

i do wonder why people want to walk away from a board that allows you to speak your mind. Fair enough, there are a few wums however I guess that comes with territory. I understand Northolt had a few issues with those in high places however I am not privy to what went on and would not want to guess or express an opinion, other than Northolt is missed on this board.

Would be a huge shame if we all went to different places when our individual views on how our club is run is expressed freely on a board I personally visit regularly during the course of every day

Judging by the numbers of new members, those on fewer than a couple of hundred posts, there are many joining us all the time. It's just a natural churn thing, I imagine. Get fed up with one site, try another.

As far as I know, most of the options are Rangers only boards. Personally, I prefer interacting with both Rs and fans from other clubs (when we can talk sense and avoid the mindless drivvel). Think this site's best for that.

I'm pretty sure that Col hasn't gone forever. He did log on to give his prediction in the competition, if he was going for ever, why would he do that?

As for DT's state of mind, I'm very glad to day that I have no idea what is happening in there!

There's been a lot of negativity on this board for quite some time now. Not saying that this is the sole reason, but registering some of the above mentioned last posts I think this might be the sticking point. Many threads end up with petty bickering which is dividing this board and sadly makes someone pack in trying their luck elsewhere.
The numbers of wums on here recently are annoying and boring, but that's just something that comes with all the media attention on our club. It is said on numerous occasions, don't feed the trolls.

Now we'll be lacking even further in the creativity departmant as Dave Thomas, Col, Swords, Northolt are gone. They are free to leave of course, but what I'm missing is some sort of explenation. Would have been nice to know, is it that they've found "better" boards, holiday, have any grief with some on here? What?

Col; miss your stinging replies and clever tongue.

Dave Thomas; you're fun and always a laugh. But at the same time you have insightful and good posts/threads.

Hope you all could reconsider you're stance and consider a comeback at time of you're own choosing.

Yours sincerely
Norway

I agree with the comments on negativity, we do like to bring everything down a bit....but no other (QPR) board I've seen is any better at the moment. They cannot be going anywhere else to get away from that.
And the reason that we are negative is because we are at a very tense time, but fingers crossed the tide has turned and we could be about to turn it around.
So everyone else hang on in there

All these type of boards evolve as they go along, it's a bit like a family, someone is always falling out with someone else and sometimes individuals go off in a strop or just go without notice. The strength of this board is it's diversity of characters and opinions with the 'glue' that holds us together being the mighty R's. I hope that Northy, Swords, Col, DT and others that go do return eventually, but I'm sure we'll continue to flourish as a 'community' regardless...

Agree with that, i don't always see eye to eye with CB and other ITK's but i still respect them as QPR fans and look forward to their posts.

Echoing what Beth says, I know it gets a bit heavy on here sometimes, especially when we're on one those rollercoasting steep dips of ours (Goon show, not winning, change of regime etc. etc.) but that's Rangers innit - and I can't see that being any different elsewhere. Just different characters expressing it.

As Sooper says, we're a community - and communities are dynamic. Always evolving and changing around a central core and culture. That core also changes as time goes on with one-time newbies replacing deadwood. Whatever such a community comprises, we have it here aplenty and leavers are as likely to return at some point as not.

Maybe I'm asking too much for some, but it would help the quality of our discussions and ease our frustrations, if we understood and respected the fact that there are few rights and wrongs in people's varying opinions. All too often I see people getting angry just because someone sees something differently. Why? There are 360 degrees of viewing angle around a tree, and each one makes the same tree appear either slightly or totally different. Adapt that analogy to a game of football or happenings around the club and the permutations become multi-dimensional as does the diversity of opinion.

Don't know about you but that's what I'm here for. I know what I think I'm seeing about one thing or another - I'm fascinated in what others (who care as much as I do) are making of it. Last thing I need is a shed load of mini-me's!

Having said that, I thank you all for participating in this great little community of ours and for providing me with some excellent entertainment along the way!!

Long may that be. URsss!

In true Not606 style I’m taking the opposing view, I do understand why people leave, or at least I know why I have nearly left on more than one occasion. Rather than the negativity that has been alluded to on this thread, I find the kneejerk reaction hard to understand. Consider Akos Buzsaky as the latest example. After the West Brom match most on here would have happily driven him to Blackpool to get rid of him, now he is a hero again and people cannot believe that Warnock was going to let him leave on a free. The change in status of Joey Barton has been equally dramatic, though not as rapid. I appreciate that these comments do not represent everyone’s point of view, but they are the ones that come screaming out of the threads in this forum. There are many shades of grey, not everything is black or white.

The main reason that I am still here echo what Brixton said in that there are some very, very good posters on this forum with a wide range of views, thankfully often with a different perspective to mine. There are other less valid reasons include seemingly insignificant fact that the format of this forum is much cleaner than many others and one that gives a good insight into my principles, I undertook to run a competition for the season and therefore will do so.

Interesting post Roller. Won't debate your examples but suffice to say I'm certainly a bit kneejerk being a recent HH convert and now all of a sudden see Buz as an exciting 'new' prospect! Worse still been a Joey the player fan from the outset (though no interest in Joey the Twit!).

However, stepping beyond my evident hypocrisy and poor judgement, the real reason for my reply is more as a big up to you for sticking to your guns and regularly delivering that wonderful season-long prediction comp of your's come what may. A massive task - especially all the count-ups involved!

Any chance of extending your contract next season?!!!
