According to most press reports Jordan Rhodes will be moving to Blackburn for a fee of £8 Million before the transfer deadline. We are due around £1 Million from that as part of the deal that took him to Huddersfield (much to our annoyance! - Cheers Keane!) What I would like to know Mr Evans is where does this money go if it isn't being invested back into the team? We have made plenty of money from transfer funds coming into the club on player sales! We have spent less than £500K on transfer fees this summer and during this time we have reduced wage costs further. Evans can't say that he has invested any extra money during this window so where is all the spare money going? Is it to repay the overall debt because it certainly isn't being spent on new players!
without wishing to kick you while you're down, from outside i'd suggest its pretty obvious where its going. one look at your annual accounts should tell you. ipswich lose vast amounts of money each year and although i'm sure that's been reigned in dramatically over the past twelve months, your owner was pumping in millions and millions to keep the club ticking over. its going on that. and the problem you have is that you can do nothing about it. he's got you in a position where without him you're ****ed. he can pretty much do what he likes with YOUR football club. sad
Did you see me ask Dave on the evening start webchat? he said Wickhams and Walters money have all been spent on transfers and wages! he forgot to mention ME pockets!
its a well reported fact that without selling Wickham we would have lost 10 million quid last financial year so there is truth surrouding an awful lot of ****. The financial report was actually published somewhere so I know that to be the truth
Well he is still bankrolling us, it seems we are being more strict on transfers and not paying more if we don't think they are worth it i.e Davies but if we think they're worth it he's willing to pay i.e Boyd and Taylor!! It's the wages which appear to be the problem or our negotiations. For example it appears we keep making offers maybe for transfers and wages that take the piss initially to test the water and then we up our offer, which may be in the end quite reasonable for example we had a bid for Davies accepted but then because we've played hard ball with our negotiations the clubs don't want to sell to us or the players don't!!
Perhaps if we stopped paying off players contracts that would save us a few quid for starters! I don't think Evans and Clegg have quite grasped the idea that in order to generate transfer funds you need to actually get fees in for players rather than paying them to ****ing leave!
account £2m a year for Clegg's salary and £0.5m a year in Evans' expenses, probably another £0.5m for golf away days and the like...
Quite simple where all the money is going, doesn't take anyone with a brain to work it out. Last year we broke even, despite selling Wickham for £8 mill upfront............ We're pumping ridiculous wages at players, take a bow Bullard ( cue 1000 clowns from Hull hijacking this thread ) Bowyer/ Collins on loan/ + very many over the top paid player As you've said settling players contracts....... Gait receipts being very low...... = where our money is going in a very simplistic way. Solution ( simply put ! ) = more bums on seats = more money.......... = cup runs ( out of 1 already ) = more money......... = loads of overpaid donkeys off the wage bill = more money.......... Evans has ploughed a quite ridiculous amount of ££££ into the club, and what does he have to show for it? UNBELIEVABLY we have gone VERY FAR BACKWARDS in 4 years........... Does throwing money always solve things? NO!
How do we get the sell on clause money for Rhodes as the full amount is being paid by Blackburn in instalments?
Sounds to me like Evans is getting as much money out of the club before he ditches it. Kenneth Bates Mark II.
Do you remember that derby day Carra when the Binners were waving wads of cash at us ? You've gotta laugh, you've just gotta laugh
Ipswich have got relegation written all over them in the next 3 years. An absolute recipe for relegation, as soon as you have **** players, no major income, crumbling attendances, a soon to be obsolete youth academy, hemmorrhaging money, bad manager and debt it is virtually impossible to escape the wilderness. Trouble with Evans is, he had no concept other than to spend. The trouble with the Ipswich fans is they probably hounded out the right manager at the start.
4/10 The irony of your comments is not lost on me. I expected better from you, but then again you do have sex with animals...
