Where is the team that played Southampton of the park.
That was not acceptable today,I can't really remember their keeper having to make three saves.
One thing I noticed when Brett came on we looked more dangerous up front.
    Dels tactics seemed strange today.
You could sence that the side was not set up right after 20 minutes of play.however nothing changed untill midway through the second half.
    The last four games Boro,Watford,
Derby, and Forest a total 2 points from 12 is poor in anybody's book.
Today did remind me how we played under Milly, now that is concerning.
Del is going to need all his experiance over the coming weeks to turn us round.
The bottom line is playing one up front, you stop the provider Adomah which teams are doing with two marking him then the goals will dry up,Maynard is not the answer on his own, again a poor performance today some how Del has to get another striker on the pitch, preferably pitman or Stead.
Simply one up front is not going to take us to safety.:emoticon-0106-cryin:emoticon-0106-cryin

    Let the debate start.

McInnes has stated that he needs another striker, he knows what is needed and I trust him to get it right.

You could play literally anyone up front on their own for us but the bottom line is that if the ball doesn't get get played forward, its pointless.

Its easy for people to be critical of NM if we look toothless however I watched Nicky make about a million runs, BUT THE BALL SIMPLY NEVER CAME... it is the most frustrating thing in the world to keep doing this and eventually, if the ball doesn't arrive, players stop making them. This was our problem under Millen...

Ok, a clean sheet is one half of the equation but we never really looked dangerous. Neither centre half is comfortable enough on the ball to come forward with it which means that the midfield have to come back to them which widens the gap between them and the front "line"..

For me, whilst NK is classy on the ball, the rest of our midfield didn't step up today and make enough of an impact, no one really drove at the Forest defence. We knocked the ball around nicely enough at the back but what is the good of that 60 yards from goal.

Also I have no idea why Wilson was dropped, automatic starter for me. He did enough to keep his place and can also be pushed up front and be dangerous last 10 minutes....

Finally, anyone noticed Gerko's cannonball shooting in the warm ups, worth a go up front last 10 minutes if we are behind with a shoot on sight policy I thought...!

Its ok buying forwards but if they never get the ball then that which goes on behind them isn't right.
Del needs to build from the back. An experienced ball playing center half would make more sense as a purchase. Lets be honest. We've been saying this for about 4 years now.
Get a classy footballer to play center half and forget about buying forwards. When you have players like Stead and Pitman sitting on the bench, the forward line is not the problem. The problem remains defence and midfield.

There. I've said it again !
And please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, Sir Del
Play Cisse, because he makes our team work.
