Makes sense and tbf to the lad that is a very good move for him but i'm not sure he is of championship quality, his shots to goals ratio isn't the best but we'll see..
not sure if he is cant find a mention of it anywhere. anyway as they've signed vaughan and now morrison starting to think they could be worth tapping up for another striker on loan
i think we'd all jump at that chance but not sure it would happen espically the way he ended the season. tbh im worried for him with all these new strikers coming in cos lets be honest when norwich started to falter a little be he stood up and scored a lot of goals including the one that got them into the prem and now it looks like hes gonna drop down the pecking order, shame real shame.
I was looking forward to watching him bang a few in on match of the day as well hopefully he'll still get his chance but he is way down there, championship on loan for him next season maybe?
I dont think Jacksons situation has changed a great deal at Norwich, I still think he offers something different to the players they have bought in and I would see his role very much as an impact sub utilising his pace against tired defenders and in all honesty I think that would have been his role even before they started signing strikers, and lets be honest they are likely to be in need of goals late in games more often than not! And to be fair last season they scored an alot of very late goals. More of interest to me will be seeing Crofts at this level, remembering that this is a player who only 3 seasons was deemed not good enough for us in league 2
i defo think it shows that some players will play for some manager and when they fall out/ dont want to play for the club any more it can show. lets be honest at the time the rest of us thought non league was a bit harsh but we all said we wouldnt put him in our starting line up. on another thought, how much do you reckon cody would cost? cos im starting to wonder, if we could pursuade him to, whether he'd be a very good investment. im sure like jacko did in a couple of seasons if he continues along the level he had last year and improves that he could be worth close to the 1 mil mark in 2 seasons time. plus with the right partner he could get us promoted and if he didnt we could always put a automatic sale in his contract for what ever we brought him for if we didnt get promoted. im sure this isnt how it works but if he's still available come preseason why wouldnt it be worth a shot
im not say we have the funds to just throw around but surely the investment potential in cody would be worth what ever the price we pay for him. lets be honest he's not required at norwhich now they've signed 2 new strikers so i cant believe they are gonna want mega bucks, plus could we not just use some of the money they owe us from the jackson trade. just think it might be a way around the money problems if you look at the potential return, rather than the outlay
I don't think in all honestly if even we wanted to sign cody that we could afford him, especially with all the clubs interested in him that we would be competing against. The price would just rise till we couldn't compete anymore you would think! I expect we'll be in talks with an up coming non league or a free transfer striker in the next week that we can manage the wages of..
We have not a hope in hell of buying Cody. If we cannot afford Whelpdale and Lee then that will give you some idea of where our budget margins are. I am afraid, that as yet another day goes by without a word from the Club, then my hopes of achieving promotion diminish with each passing hour.
