I think most of us were happy with the line up that Harry chose today. So, after another poor display, by all accounts, where does the problem lie? Injuries? Players? Harry? I really can't work out why we're not playing better football?
Harrys tactics and lack of motivation. if you cant galvanise your players against the team joint bottom to even get a shot on target then something fundamentally isnt working
Redknapp, its clear he knows nothing about tactics so relies on another to do that part of the job, weve dropped off a cliff since SM left. Redknapp couldnt motivate anyone on this board to shag his daughter in law! The blame also lies with TF for hiring the 2 most overpaid and worst managers in our history.
We absolutely have the talent in the players we have. This is without question the fault of the manager and coaches. I actually believe a new manager could turn things around and inject some passion to win. We are toothless and there is no excuse.
Balance, we haven't had it all the time Harry has been manager. The last time I saw the right shape and movement in our team was probably the first half at Spurs last season, we moved it around sweetly that day. It just hasn't been right since. In the end it's the manager and coaching that gets things right, Harry has failed abysmally...
I think it is the whole philosophy of Redknapp. He did a great job clearing out the parasites from the last couple of seasons, but he then replaced them with more of the same, albeit on shorter contracts. Austin and Phillips were great signings, but have BAE, O'Neil, Benayoun, Maiga etc got any real interest in QPR's future? He failed to get a balanced team in the summer when clearing out unwanted players was top of the agenda, but he then failed again to address the obvious issues in January.
Yep, that's the one so far for me. I genuinely can't quite work out what's happened. I thought the side today did look balanced with pace out wide. We are definitely missing the injured players, Charlie obviously, plus Faurlin and Phillips, both injured just as they were hitting top form. Injuries for me have played a fairly big part, but I'm just not convinced that Harry's heart is in it along with the loanees.
Don't know where we go from here. We aren't scoring goals, which has been a problem since August, but more worrying is the fact that we are not creating any chances either. Both Derby and Reading made us look very ordinary. Even if Harry is shown the exit door, which I doubt, we still have the same players for the remainder of the season. I'm not a great believer of changing managers at this stage of the season, but clearly something needs to be done, and fairly sharpish!
It's simple for me Col. It's our midfield and by that I mean our system and players. How many times have we played the same midfield 4 or 5 in a row? We changed formation at least three times this year. We've players wingers in central positions, central players on the wing and players like O'Neill (who is neither) on the right, left and centre. My biggest annoyance is Harry playing a 4-4-2 without a DCM. This is simple, Harry picks the 11 he wants and then tries to make them fit into a system. We have no consistency, no continuity and no creativity.
Lack of consistency In starting lineup, lack of confidence, injuries, weight of expectation. Striking recruitment over summer.
But Roller, surely it is not that simple? In the summer. we all had great ideas about who to buy but that presupposes: a) That sufficient funds were available. Once bitten, twice shy? b) That players who we all thought should sign actually might have wanted to come to QPR There are other factors too I am sure. It looks like at least another season the Championship. Many of us thought that would be the case anyway so let's not get too morose about it. Though it is painful to say, we probably (as a team) punched above our weight for the first half of the season. Now reality bites. Of course injuries have not helped at all. I really don't know what to say about Harry. McLaren was not there when he took Tottenham off the bottom with a great run of form. All very sad. I feel sorry for TF who must have some serious thinking to do over this w/e but sacking Harry now effectively writes off this season. Mind you, so might keeping him! That's for Tony to reflect on and make a judgement call. I'm glad I am not in his shoes.
We can't sack him, he's already said he will resign if we don't go up. Would you pay £3m to get rid of him now when it will be done for free in 3 months time. The best we can hope for is a mutual agreement where TF offers to pay him for the rest of the season and redknapp retires leaving us with a new manager and an outside chance of it coming together, at worse he can see what players he'd like to keep. There Mackay, RDM and laudrup out there all with experience in English football.
I dont know exactly....But i do know that i have better things to do than spend money watching that gutless pack of ****...
People keep mentioning this so I've no doubt it's just me being out of the loop. But when did HR say this, have you got a link?
I don't know but I did a search and he threatened to resign when we wouldn't sign bridge, if only he followed through with it....
