It's not the fact that we lost two away games 1-3 against two of the top three teams.

It is the manner of the defeats!
Sloppy passes out of defence, rarely hitting the target and working the keeper when we do create attacking openings and yet another og. AF seems to be a reincarnation of Jack Connor in that respect.

The personnel have changed but the inept performances continue.

When will we hit the buffers?

It is a question of where he goes from here. There have been almost constant defensive cracks front to back. The collective team shape the team did have has been lost. Teams can drive through the middle and have been. Only a few weeks ago Stevenage had five clear goal scoring opportunities.

Last night was the worst performance of gthe season bar none. V Watford the team gave up second half. Last night it happened again. Barely a player ranked more than five out of ten. Defense and offense was inept. Team shape at times disappeared. City got off lightly.

There have been improvements under Mr Coterrill they haved to be allied to team shape and collective responsibility. Individual errors happen, but City are making team errors. Forget the "Star" does not get back and defend a team should be able to adopt a defensive shape with the other seven and eight players instantly. City do not.

Relegation. If thats all he has it is. Bad vibes on the train about the selection came true. The team didn't compete, didn't play and threw the white flag in.

its not the defeats, god knows following this club you become immune to that, what i find hard to take is the seeming lack of concentration for 90 minutes and also of that of commitement and passion, half of that team looked that like me they wished they were at home watching the scouse derby, with a glass of something strong. what a waste of 30 odd quid.

Flint has to go I'm afraid. He's strong, and I quite like him as a player, but he's made so many mistakes. Based on own goals it wouldn't surprise me to see him as one of our top scorers...

I tipped us for a rough season at the start, but even when I saw another relegation I didn't think it would be as comical as this. It's getting to a point where I think some of our poorest performers need to be investigated for match fixing.

I reckon our academy kids could do a much better job. If we cannot win past the transfer window, we need to put some of the academy kids into the side. Many of them joined a Championship academy, so surely they have the ability to play for a League 2 quality team?

He has gone now and I don't want to go over old ground, but City are EASY to make chnaces against. If you are playing the ball forward quick and quicker that doesn't mean you then wander back to defend. Mistakes are also happening because the Manager doesn't like the players putting their foot on the ball.

Wolves could have been a landslide so could have last night. Every team creates chances v City even the bad ones. City are wide open. Mr Cotterill has to get them tighter as City have to score two and three just to get a point.

The defence is once again very worrying. We cannot keep shipping soft goals and expect to survive.

Unless there is a rabbit up his sleeve that shows its fluffy white rear soon, we are going down to the basement. It is a shocking embarrassment to all connected with the club. Simple as that.

The pain I feel in this thread sums up my thoughts in every single aspect. On another today thread I voiced some of the criticisms and took some light stick which I thought was misguided but there it is.

We have been having the same discussions on the same problems for many seasons and for some inexplicable reason we seem to have no answers, or at least we hire people, both players and management, that can't solve the problems either and about now I am really starting to believe we won't get the kind of results we need to save our season. A minor illness has been neglected so badly that it is almost to the point of becoming terminal unless we get the right injection of team pride, but then again that sadly went missing years ago.

red alert... how easy, bloody easy

    SOD...PLAYED 19 WON 2 (.105 WINS/ or 1 in 9.5 ) D 9 (.474 or 1 in 2.2 ) LOST 8 ( .421 or 1 in 2.4 ) gf 26 ( per game 1.37 ) ga 32 ( per game 1.69 ) pts 15 ( .8 ) potentially at season end will be win 6 d 21 lose 19 currently lost 11

    SCot..Played 8 won 2 ( .25 or 1 in 4) drew 3 ( 1 in 2.7) lost 3 ( 1 in 2.7)................pts = 1.13 ( .33 of a point better )

It is easy to do the above, but not like for like a yes win ratio is up but drawing and losing is worse, so looks and feels better.. lose SAT then = 1pt lose Tuesday then = .9 points a game

Interesting stuff but stats hide flaws. Money has been spent on contracts and last night was the worst performance since MCinnes. The defence and team effort last night wasn't .33 of a point better. It looked like a team already relegated.

Losing against 2 of the top 3 teams in this division is not what will get us relegated, regardless of the performance. Short memories on here, as prior to these games I was reading how much better we were performing and all that was missing was the result, so what has changed? I suspect nothing but fans patience wearing too thin too early, if after the next 2 games we still haven't won and played badly then perhaps we can be critical. Give the team and new gaffer a chance as at this rate our fans would have us change manager every month, have some patience FFS!!

Misgivings have been consistent about the defending of the team. If a team is regularly as non competitive and disorganised at it was v Brenford when playing for its survival it will be relegated. The team looked like a unprofessional rabble. The opposition is irrelevant.

I think the attitudes of the players changed for these 2 games, from one of We can do this to We are on a hiding to nothing
If that is the case then I am worried because that is purely down to the management.
I think, for the sake of the Bristol public (well the ones without their head up their arse anyway) its time Cotterill came out and explained to us why his team have suddenly developed cold feet.
The Bristol City of 1975 laid their bodies on the line at such places as Elland Road, Anfield, Highbury and Old Trafford. They were man enough to not get freaked out by the opposition.
The Bristol City of 2014 fall apart at the prospect of playing at Brentford - I mean purleeease....

Man up Bristol City, or you will all end up on the dole
Believe me, thats one place you do not want to play

He has bigged himself right up as a tactician. Well this tactician's side concede two goals at least a game and got owned all over the pitch Tuesday. Shut up Cotterill and do some coaching. No more tweets get out on the training ground doing what you are paid to do and put a team out that make the opposition sweat for their chances.

How long will it take some to realise that playing Gillett in CM is an open door to our defence. Especially away.
That's one of the main reasons why Wolves and Brentford created so many chances - we may as well play with 10 !

Tomorrow Gillett will be selected when it should be Reid.
    They can't play together.
If there's anyone on this Planet that thinks Gillett is a better bet now or long term they need serious help.

    FFS - Cotterill wake up.
