After looking at my ATR Tracker last night i noticed that 2 of my runners have gone missing from action for a wee while now and so i started to track them down. I have sent emails and requests to the trainers web sites but as of yet not one reply. They may do yet, but i am at a loss and so i am asking the good men and ladies of the forum to help me, if you dont mind...


Red Merlin - 8-y-ochestnut gelding
Soviet Star (USA) - Truly Bewitched (USA) (Affirmed (USA))
Current Trainer: D McCain Jnr
Current Owner: Timeform Betfair Racing Club & M Taylor

Last run was 12th of May, 2012, when he won the Pertemps Network Handicap Hurdle at 13/2. This was his 5th win from his last 6 races, and i had been on all of em bar 1, but nothing seen since...???


Rileyev - 8-y-obay gelding
Goldneyev (USA) - Jiletta (FR) (Passing Sale (FR))
Current Trainer: Miss V Williams
Current Owner: Mr John Mayne

Last run was 3rd of March, 2012, when he came 3rd in the Barbury Int. Supporting Greatwood Gold Cup Handicap Chase. Again he had previously run up a sequence of 2, 1, 3, 1, 1, 1, 1 from Feb 2011 to the 2nd of April 2100, but nothing since his last run in 2012...


Obviously i have taken a shine to these horses, well you do dont you, and i am eager to see them out again, who wouldn't. Dos any one on the forum know where i should be looking to find out how they are doing, of lead me to who i can ask...

Its not a matter of life and death, but i would like to know how they are doing, or even when they might make a race course soon...

I got an email back from Venetia Williams today regarding Rileyev...

Rileyev had a tendon injury after his last race. He has been rested and is due to come back into training now. However he is looking for a new owner now.

Hence there has been no sight nor sound from him... Though i dont have the money to back up my love of the horse, it seems someone will if we are to see him any time soon...
 
Those are 2 horses I really like Red. Rileyev very consistent and always gives you a run for your money. Given decent ground Red Merlin looked like he'd have some valuable handicap hurdle prizes in his sights. Great of the trainer to let you know about Rileyev. Via a fairly indirect route of contacts I've been informed that Red Merlin has a tendon problem and won't see a race track for at least another 6 months.
 
Cheers Chanin... Shame that as i was really looking forward to seeing both out soon because of their time away from the race track... I suppose i will just have to wait that little bit longer then...<cheers>
