The Chairboys travel north to Greater Manchester to take on The Tics at the DW Stadium it was only eight years ago when they were the FA Cup holders after beating Manchester City with the only goal in the game coming from sub Ben Watson in the first minute of injury time. There has been 16 meetings between the teams the last of those being a 2-0 defeat back in 2003 we have only beaten The Tics on two occasions the first a 2-1 win a Adams Park in our last home game of the season in 1999 setting up our last day survival against Lincoln at Sincil Bank Wycombe Wanderers - May 1999 Match Reports - Chairboys on the Net our last win was a 1-0 win twenty years ago. Gaz has no fresh injury worries, with Jason McCarthy and Daryl Horgan nearing full fitness after their knocks at Exeter, while Dominic Gape, Ryan Tafazolli and Matt Bloomfield are also close to being back in contention Dave Wheeler should return after isolating. This game is available live on iFollow and I have brought my match pass and I will be stocking up the fridge ready for this game looking for us to continue our good start to the season
A good away point. Looked very scrappy to me and didn't look like a promotion side. Lost too many heading duels for my liking. Hopefully we can get another striker and maybe the defence will be more solid with Taff back. I am going to have a moan to EFL iplayer again as I couldn't get any video until 30 mins into the game and then it was without sound. Dreadful service
I had no problem with iFollow happy with the draw but could have nicked it as usual we had less possession but more shots more on target and more corners
Never trust the table at the start of the season a friend of mine who is a Pompey supporter has text me their first four games of this season, Fleetwood 22nd, Crewe 21st, Shrewsbury 24th, on Saturday Doncaster 23rd, don't get too carried away Woopert
I recall Ipswich being 9 points clear when we were in L1 last. Can't remember how many games played (obviously more than 3)
Yep. Was going to mention that but couldn't remember by how many. I think a few teams went clear at various stages. It's the 3 points for a win that does it
Very happy with a good away point last night, it keeps the momentum going which is important in a very hard league. Not sure what our best 11 is but I wasn’t expecting it to be the one fielded last night so very well done to everyone. we don’t know when we are beaten.
