On current form I'm not as optimistic as you seeing at best 1 point, and that is against the Mackems. No confidence at all about the others. Praying I'm wrong otherwise we'll be in the bottom 3.

Everton away will be tricky, but a compact performance might yield a point. Cardiff are good at home, but I think we'll give them a game, so let's say 1 point there too. Whoever expects the least will win the derby, so probably Sunderland at the mo...so yeah, 2 points max probably about right.

:D Unfortunately not. Seriously though, **** knows. This weekend tells us that looking at games on paper and expecting certain results is foolhardy at best in the PL. If you took our game out of Sunderlands run (derby is a lottery) I couldn't see them picking another point until the 21st December. That would mean almost certain relegation. They will get points somewhere though.

Hopefully we can get something from Everton but I can't see it. I expect a big reaction in the Liverpool and Sunderland games after last seasons debacles. Obviously Pards must have a part to play but these ****ing players owe us.

It'll come down to our defensive discipline (particularly away), and giving it some beans in the home games. We have our part to play as always because the support against Hull was pathetic, bordering on arrogant.

It's a shame that we've obviously come to a point where we look at that list of fixtures and assume there are very few points to pick up there. What worries me is that this weekend I have watched a lot of games and most of them were contested by teams which I would say played far superior football to us. I struggle to name 3 teams which are much weaker than us at the moment...

I reckon we can come out of that with 7-9 points. Spurs, Chelsea & Liverpool are incredibly tough. Everton will be difficult but we can come away from Goodison with something if we play well. Cardiff and Sunderland should be 2 wins.

Or is that a bit too optimistic?

Lose tomorrow.Beat Cardiff ,draw the tramps and Liverpool lose to Chelsea and Spuds.
I do now believe with Remy we have a real threat so i think we will always score at some point but as its Newcastle and after watching them for 30 plus years anything can ****ing happen!

I was hoping for a point tonight but Pardew is already speaking negative stuff so, that's that buggered then.

Frankly, I have no idea what will happen. I knew that the Hull game was going to go wrong; every time there's an opportunity to leap up the table when the opportunity presents itself always seems to end in acute disappointment.

This is the season where Pardew has the chance to bluff and to get the club higher up the table than he normally could but, as ever, he'll balls it up.

I have no idea what will happen tonight but I am steeling myself for something painful.

That's just bloody stupid, I can only see us getting a point against Spurs so 16 points is probably the likely outcome.

I have absolutely no clue as to what sort of performance Newcastle United will put on in any of these fixtures.

We're simply not showing any kind of form at the moment - getting stuffed at home by Hull Tigers is terrible - beating an average Championship team hardly inspires confidence.

It looks likely that we will lose them all but remaining hopeful of a point at Cardiff and 3 points against the dirty monkey mackems. <grr>

Looking forward to seeing you guys on Saturday, should be a good game, we are a very well organised outfit, and to date have a very skinny defence. We will hit you on the break or at set pieces, give us corners at your peril. Will be nice to see you all again though, and as a PL novice aged 51, the way i see it, this year, anyone can give anyone a good game. Seems to be more parity this year.

Meh, think we can look at fixture lists and worry oursen at times.
All i care is that we play everyone twice in a season.
All it takes is a decent result in one of those games and you can get a run going. Though i do appreciate the season we finished 5th was largely down to those beginning fixtures up to the city game, the reality is barely any game is easy in the prem anymore.
The unpredictability of it means i'm less worried and, as our aspiration should be top 10, i think that's achievable regardless of the fixture list

    Everton (a) draw
    Cardiff (a) draw
    Liverpool (h) lose
    mackems (a) draw
    Chelsea (h) lose
    spurs (a) lose.

3pts is my realistic prediction, although I think we can win at least one...

I just have the feeling that we may just nab a win vs Liverpool.

Take us to lose against Liverpool and then say we might nab a win?

    Sitting on the fence?
