Perhaps I missed something, being so far from the real action, but weren't we supposed to handle 25,000/27,00 with the new stand? I fully understand why, with Covid biting at our heels and the added doubt about being in large crowds, and yet I can't remember many attendances near that size since the shed became a first class facility. In the early days of it's existence I have a vague recollection of someone posting that safety issues did not allow us full capacity and I have no idea whether or not those problems have gone away.

With 25,000+ in the seats perhaps Ashton Gate may have a chance of becoming a place where others fear to tread. Any udates or is our poor home form the main reason?

there does seem to be retinence of going to crowded venues, especially when the teams playing are mediocre and BCFC trying to play some of the worst football in the past 7 - 8 years!

I would say the dross being served up NP is a big reason people are staying away?

A combination of COVID ( I’ve not been back since covid, didn’t renew my SC due to COVID), and poor home performances are to blame IMO. To try to guess how much is due to either is problematic.

I can only speak for myself but for me its part Covid, part cost and partly because the football is crap

For me it's more the poor football. I try and go to 1 or 2 games every month, but the desire isn't there right now with the way NP has them playing. I even went Xmas shopping when they were live v Sheff Utd as I thought it would be more entertaining, and I was right; how sad it's come to that!

    It's all of the above!
For me this season is just about staying-up - if we were mid-table that would be an over-achievement
NP inherited a massive job - it will take at least 2 (maybe 4) transfer windows

I agree, any thoughts I’ve had about going have been quickly forgotten as the POTD prices are far too high as I didn’t renew my SC due to COVID.

There must be many others like me who didn’t renew my SC due to COVID, only to find POTD prices are far too high, the danger is the longer we stay away the less likely we are to renew at all.

Surely to encourage us back the club should be reducing POTD prices or thinking of some other way of encouraging us back before it’s too late.

I do - but I would 'normally' get to about 6-10 games.

Another reason is I've been rushing backwards and forwards to Gibraltar every chance I've had

Thanks for the replies guys and I think you have highlighted what I expected to see as the reasons for the relatively poor crowds. How nice it would be to see us scrapping for promotion in front of 25/27,000 screaming supporters putting abject fear in to our opponents. Sorry about that but I just woke up - lol. :emoticon-0128-hi:

Our crowds may well drop further now that supporters will need to show a Covid passport for admittance.

Plus as others have said, the home form and football being served up have been awful.

I really hope Nige can start making inroads into getting rid of the players who either won't learn, or who make mistakes and who have cost us a few points.

Just a slight tweak to your statement Angelic:

I really hope Nige can start making inroads into REPLACING the players who either won't learn, or who make mistakes and who have cost us a few points
