Norwich at home 1st feb ? Leicester h defeat Wolves a defeat Chelsea h defeat Everton a defeat Norwich h win maybe ? Our season is split into quaters in terms of top.teams and winnable games , so if we can pick up 4 or 5 points these games that will be good. Schar out with hammy now Joelinton also caly muscle injury I hope all the comparison lads dont stop and go quiet when the pendulum swings the other way
We'll get some unexpected points somewhere. The nature of the football means we are waiting on one individual to have a good day. Whenever Saint-maximin returns we'll be OK providing him and Almiron dont suffer injuries again. We are way too reliant on the pair of them.
Nah hes done his thing now ... hes ran us into the ground and now we're ****ed for a month or two.. come may i think we will finish 15th to 17th. If we signed 2 or 3 good players in jan we could push for top half, but I think we all know ashley wont do that.. Bruce will keep us up.
the reality is that our performances have been dreadful mate … we actually played ok for 20 mins at the end of the 1st half yesterday , but we have a primitive style of play and without max and almiron and having only 3 in midfield are only option is lumping it over the top and sadly the teams we are playing over the next month will take us apart. Rafas approach is go protect the players and that's why we finish strong, but Bruce has gone the other way and ran our better players into ground, I really hope Ashley sees this jan as an opportunity to give bruce 2 or 3 players because otherwise we're in trouble as usual and I think we all know we've done our spending for many years.
it wont look likely in 4 games time if we lose all 4 mate ! I've assessed the table and the fixtures of the clubs and we will be 15th to 17th in 2 games time and after the following two only 1 to 4 points clear of 18th .
Man I don’t know what’s got your goat. Ashley has given a squad whereby we’ve spent £40m on a bang average striker, yet are just one injury from Atsu playing. What the **** does anyone think Bruce can do with that? And I’m not Bruce fan at all, but it’s the purple player squad that kills us time and time again. There were clear issues yesterday - Carroll needs to calm the **** down and stay up front. The midfield three need a better shape or maybe just time to understand, but calls to drop back further are wrong in my opinion. Lejeune was dire, Fernandez poor, Schar poor, which was unusual. Bad decisions in the final third have haunted us for years, hardly Bruce’s fault. We looked reasonable plying a real 5-3-2 but old habits die hard and Almiron drifted, Joelinton drifted, Carroll got isolated and we lost. We’ll get it together and pick up a surprise result or two. I can see us getting something from both Everton and Chelsea, maybe just the odd point, but then we’ll have a decent spell and get up to around 48 points. The thing is the table tends not to lie, and if we have 25 from 19 matches, we’ll almost certainly head towards an average of 50 points from 38. I think we’ll struggle more than that, but not greatly and at worst get to around 45. it’s really hard and ultimately pointless to blame Bruce entirely. The long ball needs to calm down. Carroll needs someone alongside him. The midfield need time. But we should be fine. There’ll be a game soon when Carroll batters a team on his own and we win. Almiron could’ve scored twice yesterday. It’s not as bad as is being made out.
