i once had to wear a newcatle kit (blue one when they were sponsered by Newcastle Brown ale). I was playing in a football tournament and we were using it as our kit. i was in my teens and suffice to say i felt uncomfortable in it

    Hahaha!

Only pics I have are in Liverpool and England shirts, not many mind. Worst pic probably a green and purple goalie top, about 96' I think for David James. **** me was it itchy, I sold it in the end. I never went in goal anyway!

I remember having the Liverpool home jersey from the 90s,Do you remember the one with the V neck with the really thick collar.I think it was from 1996,The Stan Collymore,Jason Mcateer era.I had more sense not to be the ''Ecru'' away jersey.

I don't think I was ever photographed in it, but we didn't have much money when I was growing up, so when I was about 5 I had to play in a Liverpool kit that was a hand me down from our cousins. So I share your pain crazy... :emoticon-0119-puke:

Lol, nah I just learned the meaning of pride <ok>

When I was growing up, my Dad supported Utd and my Mum supported Liverpool cos she used to live there. Neither were particularly rabid fans - I supported Utd but kind of followed Liverpool. But I got sick of all the glory hunting Liverpool fans where I lived, which was just west of Manc. This was in 1987 and all the Liverpool 'fans' in my class disappeared after they came second to Everton in 1987 before reappearing with a vengence when they beat us to the title in 1988. They were just so smarmy, even as five and six year olds, which put me off Liverpool for life!

That, and my dad started working for Sharp so our whole family got season tickets to OT for about four years :D Then he went and got a better job :(

    Calling Liverpool fans smarmy?
United fans are just as smarmy.I know loads of Man United fans that were once Liverpool fans. They switched in 1992.I know more that haven't a clue that Danny Wallace was once Man Uniteds best player in 1989 and they once got thrashed 5-1 by City. They didn't know that Frank Stapleton<laugh> was once their star striker.
Me personally.I've been a Liverpool fan since I was 14,I took the rough with the smooth.I have endured 21 years of Man United fans lording it.So thats the reason why I'm looking forward to the day the shoe is on the other foot. And guess what....The shoe will be on the other foot.

Did he go and get a job for Carlsberg?!!

    Ze Liver

Yer the shirt had a massive neck didn't it? But I love it, it was my first shirt and when Fowler first started smashing them in regulary. So I have good memories of the period. I cherrish the picture of me at Marwell Zoo!

I also have a mate that changed sides. At uni he even used an old Liverpool rucksack despite the fact he changed to United.

He said he changed because his girlfriend and parents were all united fans, so ending following with them.

Don't worry, he gets the abuse he deserves!

I didn't call all of them smarmy, just the ones I knew that lived near us. It's a fact that the most successful team always ends up with the glory hunters - just look at the chavs who've come out of the closet since 2004...

Lol, no he moved to Colorvision <doh> He got out before it went down the toilet tho'!

I can't stand fans who switch clubs. I've been a fan since 1986, and even remember a few of the last days under Big Ron <doh> But at school I even knew City fans who switched allegiance to Blackburn and Newcastle around 95 and 96 when they were doing well for a season or two...

    Fair play.
The only ''fans'' that can celebrate success and be taken seriously are ones that stay loyal through both the good and the bad.Personally I can't stand switchers. Its easier to switch than stay loyal,as sometimes loyalty can be tested. However when you get success, your loyalty is rewarded.
When Liverpool win the title under Kenny,It will be my greatest moment since Istanbul 2005.Its the only thing that can top it.
