Doesn't look to happy in this video taken earlier tonight: http://sport.stv.tv/football/scotti...fails-to-convince-board-to-sanction-signings/ Sure he would have been expecting a little something to play with to help replace your top scorer having sold him for £5m (Did West Ham not offer £7m?). Talk was nobody in unless there is movement out, several out on loan & Jelavic sold - surely they could have got someone?? I appreciate free agents can still be signed as there is no transfer involved but who does that leave them with? There are whispers of a press conference tomorrow. Denied by certain media outlets but surely that day will come soon?
Honestly wouldn't be surprised if he chucks it tomorrow. He is useless anyway, out of three cups in the first round and throwing away that massive lead. Allister must stay.
This is the first sign of strain between him & Whyte in public, similar to Smiths last year when Rangers denied Lloyds were on the board & Smith was the one who spoke out...........I can see McCoist having his say soon
What can he say? "I am hamstrung in implementing my vision of the team because of financial constraints placed upon me by Mr Whyte". "Alastair understands that Jelavic wanted to leave and under those circumstances we felt it important to move that player on. We will know our budget better after the tax case and I will be speaking with Ally....sorry Alastair regularly about the funds we will be making available at that time. And to reiterate I do welcome the verdict of that tax case at the earliest juncture......which byra way, I amnae responsible fur"
Well Smith had the balls to speak out about the finances at the club when everybody else denied it. Obviously the situation is different now as most folk have finally twigged they are in the **** but that face on him getting in his car looks like he was expecting some cash - be it on wages for a loan deal to come his way..........not to strengthen his team but try & at least put up some sort of a fighting chance. McCoist must be realising that he will be a fall guy should Celtic go on & win the league. Whyte still has many of them hoodwinked now. He can take the club down & start again under a new name (Rangers 2012) or whatever & spin his lies to make it look like McCoist failed. The cracks are appearing
Rough on "Coisty". There has to be a patsy....Its a direct fight between dignity (back Boggle eyes) and Loyalty (back the Rainjurs legned). There can be only wan!!
I wonder what was on that sheet of paper that McCoist was carrying to his car.....my money is on a player purchasing list adding up to exactly nine milion pounds, in his very best handwriting.
Actually I am also beginning to feel a little sorry for McCoist ; I can imagine him hunched over his desk at home , writing out his wish list with a little stubby pencil lifted from IKEA that he chews every time he has to pause for thought , like a little boy who still believes in the magic of christmas........only to have his dream ripped to shreds on transfer morning WHYTE YOU HEARTLESS BASTARD
But Whyte is in control (of a kind) there, McCoist loves the club so will be a yes man but surely only up to a point? When that comes Whyte will have them all believing McCoist jumped ship & turned his back on the club when they most needed him........a quote he used today when talking about 2 directors he ****ed off the board!! Whyte knows where he has McCoist.
He knows where he has the support too. The club is ****ed, he is the preferred creditor....He didn't cause the bother.
Looks that way assuming he has paid back the loan for the season tickets. I wonder if he aims to be at the club post admin for the long term or if he has done a quick one to earn some cash?
