Given his age it is inevitable that Wenger will retire at some point in the near future, maybe another 2-3 years maximum. So who will replace him? Arsenal are a fantastic opportunity for any manager in the world, so will Arsenal bring in one of the big names of football? Or will they take a chance on an up and coming or unheard of manager like when Arsene was brought into the club? They'll all be knocking on the door for the job, that's for sure!
Surely this should be on the Arsenal board? Although it looks like the Arsenal board with the amount of Arsenal threads on here atm
The people want what the people want and at the moment they want Arsenal and I'm only too happy to oblige!
He does seem to stay in one place for a few years and move on, but would he go to another team in the league after managing city? It will probably depend how his time at City goes as to whether he would be a potential option. I do think he would of chosen Arsenal over City if Wenger was leaving at the end of this season though.
He'd definitely jump at the chance of taking such a huge step up in his career but has he done enough to warrant such a big job?
Wenger had already won trophies in France, made it to a European cup final and been the most successful manager at a Japanese club before coming to Arsenal. So whilst he wasn't a known name over here he had already proven he was a winning manager. P.s. I made the point about Wenger in the OP
