Haven't done one for a while so thought i'd get in there before the golf course swallows me up for the weekend! Didn't want Groot jinxing us again with one of his copy and paste efforts as well. Here's a nice little song to start things off Reet folks, this is it, our first prime opportunity to get ourselves mathematically safe. A win for us and a defeat for Colin ****er at home to Liverpool the following day will see them relegated with 3 games left to go. The Saint's come marching into Toon hoping to pull themselves clear of the last relegation spot and kick off on Saturday is a 5.30pm affair LIVE on the BT Sport tellybox channel Longstaff and Lejeune are our only absentees, both have had their holiday periods extended due to injury, it remains to be seen whether Rafa returns Yedlin to the starting 11 after undoubtedly dropping him for the Leicester game due to his costly and mindless penalty concession in the previous game against Palarse. We'll probably line up the same way we did in our last game. Anthony Taylor is on whistling duty, last taking charge of our defeat against the Gooners...this will be his 5th outing for us this season, the previous 4 being away games. I'm predicting a 3-1 win for us, Rondon, Perez and Miggy. Have a tip top weekend folks, divvint eat too much chocolate !
I had us down for a 3-1 win and Miggy hat trick until I saw Cronemeister did the match day thread. Now I'll just have to go for a 3-1 win.
Going to the game so looking forward to a hard fought 4-0 win to the Toon Rondon 2 Alan Foggon 2,will be good to see Jinky in action
Don't worry when everyone gets overly positive and super excited in the summer once we've sold, Rafa has a new contract and a £200m transfer budget he'll be back to bring us back down to earth... (or whatever planet he's from...)
Think this will be a very tough game. They are on quite a run of form and we don't normally make the most of home advantage. Hope we can sneak a 2-1 win and set ourselves up for the last 3 games.
Good to see Foggon back in form, he'll be flying after his winner against Ujpest Dozsa on Wednesday night. I know Ferenc Bene thought it was the greatest goal he'd ever seen from a new born foal. I fancy Foggon to score, Rondon to get his 104th of the season and Moncur to get a third. Unfortunately Jinky will break Terry Payne's leg after 34 seconds and beat his previous record of 40 seconds for a similar offence against Tony Want. All in all an entertaining 3-1 win with Mick Channon getting a consolation goal for the Saints. I'm off to have my customary tenner at the bookies. God knows how they're still in business with me and Mickey taking their pants down every week.
Skin the twats, got a fabulous price for the result and the scorers 15-1,will need a cart to hump me winnings home come on Foggo
I fear the Pony fiddlers are on a good run of form. If they are allowed too much possession, they will make hay. Same team as last week = loss. At least Yeldin back in to add a bit of punch on the right = win.
Agreed - need to be positive from the start and push them back as much as possible . Think we have a better defence but not if we are defending for 90mins
Incredibly cynical foul on Almiron there. Commentators saying it’s too far from goal to be a clear opportunity- how many PL players trip over their own feet when through on goal?!
