It came to pass that the Chairboys endeth their season looking forward to another season in League One but first is the little matter of the visit of the Cod Army to Adams Park and after weeks of uncertainty all Chairboys are looking to finish the season on a high and enjoy the summer of rest before starting in earnest on the 3rd August. End of season games are traditionally games when blooding youngsters and bringing in fringe players is the norm but not for Gaz as he doesn't have that that luxury so it will be the same old faces maybe JJ may get a game Tyson could start. I will be amongst the three amigos having a few beers before watching a tight game which I expect the lads to just edge and finish the season on a happy note
Last game for Gareth? Odds on for the QPR job according to Oddschecker. Though you can get Evs with Sky Bet. Has to worth a punt
You have to think it's time for him after 6 years. If we had'nt had such a poor second half of the season that might put other clubs off
Yes the word on the street is that its Ainsworth's last game in charge but we should get a good wedge and be able to pay off the yanks and set us up for next season the new manager will have a clean slate with so many players out of contract
It's all happening elsewhere in L1. All places (Champions, Play Offs and Relegation) still all up for grabs
Glad to see we finished on a high, if Gareth does leave at least he won his last game with us he deserved that for the last 6 years & to finish 16th as well.
Well a great day yesterday Gaz set the team up not to lose and Fleetwood barley had a sniff great corner from JJ and now we are looking forward to next season
Depends on manager and players we have and the budget. I suspect from hereon in it could be downhill. It can't get any better - can it? The reality is that without increasing our income, we can't afford better players, or even afford the ones we have. We need to seriously step up our marketing ideas and make better use of the assets we have. They could usefully spend the summer developing ideas that will significantly increase income so we can get out of debt. I doubt we have any star young players that we can sell up the League. There is no reason we can't have a type of academy which is simply, scouting for local talent and inviting them to train on certain nights to form age teams. Do we have Wycombe & District teams for under 11s, U 13's, Under 15s etc. They could be sponsored by local banks and other businesses. it's what we have here. They train 3 times a week and play on Saturdays in leagues and Tournaments. We are a smaller club than Wycombe and manage very well.
