I've no doubt he'll get a good reception.

twould be the strange situation where we have LFC fans cheering for Rafa and the chavskovites booing him but if we have to show em how welcoming a manager is done so be it <ok>

He'll be booed by the majority IMO. Because he's managing those classless ****s who booed the silence for the 96 at Wembley (plus a lot of other things).

The only way he'd get cheered is if he's doing really badly with them and taken them down to mid table, but I doubt that'll happen as if it was the case he'd have been sacked by the game at Anfield.

I don't think that is fair; give the guy a break he was desperate for a job given his dismissal at Inter Milan. He said he wanted to manage a "top side" and there arn't many top sides out there we don't have rivalry with to be fair.

I am up for cheering Rafa.

i have no hard feelings for Rafa personally, and wont boo,

wouldn't go as far as to say i wish him all the best, as i hope he fails miserably at the chavs(classless horrible ****e club), but he needs to work like the rest of us, to earn some pennies.

Rafa wont win whatever he does in this country, we have already seen that Harry is considered (joke!!) a better manager by many, and all he has managed is a top 4 finish and an FA cup in his illustrious career.

knowing our luck Chelski will win the damn club cup, and that will probably be the only time he will get support from the chavs, just to rub our faces in it(although we got cheated big style by the refs when we was in it and i think Seb apologised at the time to us?, if we can remember that far back lol),Although he did win it with Inter i think as well, and that didn't make much dif, just the British media kept highlighting he was so many points behind the leaders in the league and omitting the fact he had games in hand, although when his replacement came in they did keep , mentioning he had games in hand on the leaders.

I reckon he'll get a much better reception from us than the chavs will give him, I reckon he'll get a better reception then Rodgers will on the day, even if Rodgers has us looking better then we currently are

Thats a top post pal! Most people don't realise how much influence the press have over opinions still. Like you say which aspects the 'press' choose to include or omit in their 'reports' largely reflects the message they want to portray; many are becoming wise to it, sadly the majority still are blind to it, and when challenged on it will vehemently deny it. You only have to look at the WUMs who constantly put Rafa down to realise they have not got a ****ing clue; they spout the same crap they have read in the press and most of it without foundation!

Don't think we would boo that much. Probably chant about how he was right about the Chelsea fans etc. <ok>

I agree with jenner I don't hold any ill feeling as he's done a lot for us, he's the Chelsea manager now so though so I hope it goes badly for him.

Still love the guy. RAFA, Rafael, RAFA, Rafael, RAFA, Rafael, Rafael Benitez. As long as Torres is still misfiring, goals against the worst team in the champions league and current worst form team in the league, I'm sure he will struggle again soon.

I must be one of the few who actually would absolutely love him to lead the Chavs to the title this season. Obviously I don't want any success to affect ourselves but if its a choice between Utd, City and Rafa then my choice is always gonna be Rafa!!!!

I'll boo Torres, Terry, Cole and a large number of that pathetic excuse of a team; but not Rafa. Top man, so much class and in many ways a large part of our history - as well as someone who himself bought into it and still commits to the LFC charity work.

I'll cheer him when he steps out the tunnel and remind him of the great years he gave us. Then I'll cheer on LFC and hope we crush them convincingly.

Surely he's getting enough boos from his own "fans" to need any from us.
When do we play them, April? He probably won't make it that far anyway.
