    Is it open like... now?

    Everyone elses season is over, apart from the lower league playoffs and such.

    I can remember asking the same question last year, and someone told me June the 1st and the first signing, I believe, was within days of the season finishing.

    Is Hoilett officially a free agent now?

    I know we have to pay a fee, but technically, he's not playing for any club at the moment as his contract was to run out at the end of the season.

    I'd sign him up sharpish.

    Yeah, tis June 1st. I'd imagine Hoilett is contracted until 31st May, thats when most contracts are til.

    Clubs can agree fees and players can sign a contract but the transfer will not be able to be registered with the FA until the window opens on July 1st.

    Contracts usually end on the 30th June I believe. So its often July 1st when they are officially free to sign.

    He'll be SPurs bound me thinks. Shame though, decent player.

    Would happily take their left-back Olsen though.
