They know what they are talking about.... http://www.ambernectar.org/blog/2011/07/bullard-suspended-by-city-for-two-weeks/
Bullard was always in it for the money, he likes golf better than football. Going from Fulham to Hull was always going to be a backwards move, wages aside. They were always going to end up disliking him. BTW you do realise what you've done don't you...
Does make you wonder quite how bad he is, in so much that its worth paying 45k a week and not have him anywhere near the team..
Our previous regime really knew how to waste money, it makes your £5m deals for defenders seem very prudent! Put it this way, we have Paul McShane on £20k+ per week. PAUL MCSHANE!!!! We also have Ghilas and Olofinjana (plus Bollard) on silly money but the new regime have spent very wisely, and all will be good if we can sack Bollard (who takes up 21% of our budget!). Good luck with your purchases, don't do what we did! As you've said we do have experience of this nonsense (but then so do you with the players Peter Taylor brought in).
i suppose if the club pay up his £4 million contract he can then look for some more mugs...if they think they can sack and not pay up...well thats asking for a whole lot of legal trouble for the club all round...won't happen...this is not one of nigel's strong cards...man management....
I wonder when city wil buy our first 20 mil pound player. Hull are dweebs anyway but im counting on fryup to score 18 goals.
I do remember just last week that the Hull fans we're claiming Bullard to be the best midfielder in the division and you we're going to be promoted all down to him. I'll say it once, and once only, Danns, Wellens and King will be perfect together this season. We're starting to build a very strong squad here.
Bollard could be amazing, but decides to be a nightmare it seems. The long contract (allegedly) had something to do with the City chairman getting a cut.... Financial madness from our old regime.... The Fulham fans did warn us but we couldn't get players to join us without paying silly money.
It's not necessarily the wages, it's the fact that you've spunked £7m on Matt Mills and Sean St Ledger.
Matt Mills looks class and St. Ledger cost 1.2M and is more then capable plus he will only be back up
Mills and SSL still wont cost us as much as Bullard as cost you! plus we will get some games out of them.
