The last time I saw England was in a crappy stadium in Frankfurt. England had lost 1-0 to Eire in Stuttgart (and I drove all the way back to Antwerpen with a grinning Irishman in the back of the car), then suffered a pasting at the hands of Holland and then that last game in Frankfurt against Russia. The players left the pitch and never bothered to say "Thank You" to the fans, so I said "**** You" to the lot of them. And **** them now.
I was 12 years old during Euro 88. I remember the ROI game all too well. Eas in tears at the final whistle. Absolute pricks.
