I hope Evans is giving him a lift in his helicopter up to Portman Road as we speak! Somehow though I doubt it...
Clegg will come out tomorrow with the same old bollocks! Paul Jewell still enjoys the confidence of the owner Blah! Blah! Blah! and our ambition remains that we want to get into the premiership at the earliest opportunity. Oh and btw we have just spruced up the turnstyles in the Sir Alf Ramsey in time for Saturday.
considering he will never move from his house in the most exclusive area of the country, he has already said he wont consider anything under premiership level for his next club as he doesnt like the idea of working with inferior players and under the new financial fair play regulations we would never be able to afford his wages. Add to that he has no loyalty, spends sh*t loads and has already helped to get several clubs into a financial mess I would rather it was not him.
As you say jonny same old bollocks whilst they turn our club into a laughing stock. What they just dont seem able to appreciate is the fact that if the squad is basically the same as last season then the results will be the same as last season, to coin a local phrase "if things dont change theyll stop as they are". So Evans what are you golng to do? if youre not going to back this deadbeat then sack him and get someone in who will be given the funds to change things, this transfer window closes in a few days so its too late now but for the sake of ITFC dont let this drag on.
Fieldmarshall I agree with you. I hope you didn't make that god awful trip last night, I know you go to a lot of away games! Jewell has run out of excuses and the Jewell apologists must be squirming with embarassment after last night! The definition of madness when you keep doing the same things but expect a different outcome!
No we didnt do that trip last night jonny thank god, as a rule we cant do away mid-week matches. I agree the excuses have to stop for PJ and we have to face up to the fact that he is just not up to it, maybe its because hes been starved of funds which would seem to indicate a lack of confidence by ME, but we mustnt forget he was out of management/ coaching for 2 or 3 seasons before we came along. Why is it nobody in the game would touch him with a bargepole for all that time? if he hadnt worked on Sky TV nobody would have even remembered him, critical times.
Weve been at this stage before and finished up signing nobody so Ill believe it when I see it. Last throw of the dice for ME ? Well you made a crucial point in a previous thread and that is that ME has recouped slightly more in transfer sales than he has actually spent on club signings, I think thats what you said and if thats correct it just amounts to more of the bullshit that seems to surround this club lately, great if these two actually sign but where are the defenders? we are paper thin in that area.
