When do you think it will be St Arsehole's Day?

Discussion in 'Tottenham Hotspur' started by Hoddle is a god, Jan 12, 2012.

  1. St Arsehole's Day, traditionally, is the day in the footballing calendar when it becomes mathematically impossible for Arsenal to catch the mighty Spurs in the football league.

    My money is on mid-March.

It is after St Arsene's day: The traditional game they lose that starts the inevitable slide from "we can win everything this year," to "In Wenger we trust, (but we have won Jack **** again.)" <laugh>

I thought that happened in the 70th minute at Old Trafford?

  8. I thought Nasri looked very ordinary. In fact, he's done nothing since he left Arsenal. He was one of those players who really worried me, whenever we played the Goons, but he looks extremely ineffective at £ity.

One of the reasons why I would party so hard, if £ity fail to win the league, would be to see that smug grin wiped from his face.

If it's Spurs who wins the title in their place, I think I would explode with joy!*

    *Quite possibly in my underpants.

It's my understanding that this date actually occurs on different days, depending on location. I believe, for instance, that if, for example, you are at The Emirates Stadium, it's every second Saturday.

Like the title - I hope it comes round by April 1, so the gloating can carry on for a full month and then some <laugh>

  12. I was going to start a thread on this very subject, but I realised that I had already started this prescient thread as long ago as January 2012.

Back then, of course, the thread was very much tongue in cheek.

Today, of course, we can genuinely ask the question, "When will St Arsehole's Day be, this season?"

    Well, lads?

We will probaby finish 15-18 points in front of them, unless they play all of the rest of their games like they did yesterday, in which case they are unlikely to get another point.

As we will have a better goal difference than them, I guess St Arsehole's day will either be on the 17th March following a defeat at Leicester or 1st April when Stoke are likey to celebrate April fools day by making Wenger look foolish, notwithstanding the fact that he makes a pretty good job of that himself and does not actually need Stoke's help.

  18. Obviously, if both teams keep winning, we won't get to celebrate St Arsehole's Day until the end of game 35, but I'm banking on us getting the business done sooner than that.

Gooners hate it when we mention St Arsehole's Day!

It's giving it back to them in spades the **** that they've been giving us for two entire decades!
