Tomorrow is one of those days
We´ve not seen for a while,
As we´ve both gone our separate ways
    Along our lonely mile,
But nothing quite like it can raise
Our hopes, or make us smile,
When City and the Town lock horns again

Faint-hearted give this one a miss
For blood and sweat and tears,
Will play as big a part in this
    As ín past ´Derby´years,
And all between Cromer and Diss
    Will wait for yellow cheers,
When City and the Town lock horns again

On such a day heroes are born
    Never to be forgot,
Any goal scored will bring more scorn
    On fans of t´other lot,
Towards the end when swords are drawn
    It really might get hot,
When City and the Town lock horns again

Names from the past do spring to mind
    Like Darren Huckerby,
And around the same time you´ll find
    One Leon McKenzie,
Who on his debut made the kind
Of start we love to see,
When City and the Town locked horns again

    Adams N and Gary Holt
Know what it´s like to play,
In these, so they won´t get a jolt
    At noon this Saturday,
But they may feel an extra volt
    Of adrenalin, say,
When City and the Town lock horns again

Those of a blue persuasion too
    May also get a shock,
As this will also seem quite new
To new boys on their block,
And there´s no time at such a do
    To ponder or take stock,
When City and the Town lock horns again

Fast and furious as a rule
Is what we tend to see,
In Derby games where skill to drool
    Over, can drown, sadly,
But who´ll draw first blood in the duel
    And so triumphant be,
When City and the Town lock horns again. OTBC

Come on lads, if we only have to win one away game all season, then let this be it!

Very kind Dave, must have been inspired, certainly I just had to start it, and then hang on, as it finished itself. :)

Hi skald bor, I trust you keep a copy of your literary efforts. Should make interesting reading for generations of our fans to come.

I find reference to horns very appropriate as us East Anglians are noted forr our ancient headgear. Just hope both sets of fans keep their cool and let the teams decide the issue !

Looking forward to your next effort if you get my gist. LOL.

    Regards to the King.
