One of the reasons I love old-fashioned terraces so much is that you could go really bonkers when you score, which you can't really do when you're hemmed in by seats.

Peterborough away last season was a great example of genuine madness when we racked up 4 in the first half. One of my all-time favourite football memories.

    Great thread, Rob.

Jump round like a buffoon, shouting "YEEEEESSS!!!/WHAT A GOAL!!!/GET IN THERE!!!", especially animated away from home, as if I did this too vigorously in Upper West, someone would apply to have me Sectioned.

I have also been known to hug people, which is great just after the ball's gone in the net but acutely embarrassing in the time following until the final whistle.

I did once shout "IT'S IN THE NET!!!" when sitting in a mixed stand (younger supporters will have to imagine that scenario) to which a disgruntled opposition supporter behind me loudly replied "where the f*****g hell else do you expect it to be, you t****r?"

At which point I quietly and modestly resumed my seat...:emoticon-0100-smile

Er, I was temporarily overcome by the occasion.:emoticon-0105-wink:

I wasn't the only one celebrating, just the only one with a neanderthal built like a milk float sitting behind me...

I usually go bonkers especially at away games where hugs with random people have often taken place and usually end up going to work on Monday with a sore/croaked throat

A lot of mad cheering and jumping around with those I go to the game with... but around Christmas we have the unfortunate tradition of the 'Noddy Holder' every time we score... which involves holding on to the shoulder of the person next to you and nodding furiously... combined with the cheering and jumping around insanely. Probably looks incredibly stupid... but at that point you really don't care.
