so that now leaves Kitson, Erik, lawrence, Halford and Tal Ben with Erik and Halford probibly moving on very soon and that would leave us wth just 3 plus with Lawrence atracting intrest from a couple of champ clubs that could be two so my question is at what time do we become vable for take over as surly that would be well under the 5mill wage cap they had set out before the end of last season.?

The problem is, the 5 million salary cap includes any new signings, and we wouldn't be competitive, even by our standards, with only five players.

i no that i ment for the terms of not being liquidated even if we have to plod through this year go down and start afresh next year when we dont start -10 and all the other contracts run out and that way we will have a chance to build up the leagues properly

I'm not sure, but doesn't this all have to go to court first?

2 years ago the court had to sanction the CVA to bring us out of admin, and Chanrai was the only buyer.

The PST are still saying that they are in a position to make an offer, although they haven't yet.

So it is possible that August 10th will be the last possible date it can go to court and if it hasn't then the club gets wound up.

Hope things turn out well for you guys. Used to like the trip to Fratton Park, a ground with a great atmosphere and a good noisy bunch of fans. Best of luck.

that's another one gone so that now leaves Kitson, lawrence, and Tal Ben kanus issue probibly wont be sorted out for ages so thats why he isnt on my list! id say Lawrence hopefully gone by midweek to one of those unknown championship clubs then surely that's enough to see us safe!

From what I can gather Kitson's and Ben Haim's wages are a significant part of the budget which has been set for next season, so if they don't agree compromises we are still in the doodah. Even without TBHs image rights the 2 of them are taking just under £3m and the whole budget is (I believe) £5m. What we don't know is if the whole budget includes backroom staff. In which case we have a manager, some coaches 2 players and................. ooops, no team.

That would be something to see, Kitson & Ben Haim covering the whole of the pitch and the sticks..........

I really don't see Kanu being a problem actually, but Birch should have treated him with a little bit more respect at the time.
