Ok so I knew DG was going to go, our kep player last year, I thought if Buckley steps up we'll be fine, now he's gone, now we need replacements and we really do so when am i going to open this site and see we have signed someone, instead of continually opening it to see another player has gone, I'm starting to wander whether it was worth renewing my season ticket, I mean i completely trust Malky, but I just dont believe he is making any decisions at the club, someone please chear me up!!!!
Goldenboy - right at this moment we're losing two players even before transfers have really got going. Just two. There may be more, but we have plenty of time to bring new players in, and we have youth players that were brought into the first team at the end of last season who looked very good. We'll be okay, as long as MM stays!

I can certainly see us brining in some good signings. I see another summer of crude and prudent dealings. (Excuse the cliché) Patience is a virtue. By the time the transfer window closes, we will have a solid team.
As we have seen in the past, you don't need a lot of money for quality signings. Have faith goldenboy!! If we are in the same position come the end of August, then start to worry!!

We are going to have to buy in if we want to stay in this league! But we have to pay the debts first ! Ticketus and LA`s First installment plus we need money to operate and pay wages in the close season! Baz now has about 3m from DG and 600 kplus for bucko! The ticket us I think was 1.8m (I`m prob wrong there) and the first installment to Aston I cant remember but it was a fair amount! I think if MM gets 500k so far he will be lucky. Also dont forget the Ashley Young saga if he goes for around 15m then thats worth 800k to us! I would be hoping that MM would see most of that! So we are dependant on what Villa do! the first order of business for them is to get a new manager ,so this might take time!
You sound confused! 1) We have only lost two players so far - that hardly constitutes 'continually opening it to see another player has gone' - especially when one of them was expected to go anyway! 2) Buckley was never going to be the one to step up and replace DG - big boots to fill and he wouldn't be capable of filling even one of them. 3) MM is not making any decisions at the club because he is off on holidays. I don't expect to see any incoming players at least until after he is back because I simply don't believe that even Bas wouldn't include him in such decisions. is my best advice
He hasnt signed a new contact yet as far as I know OFH I have gone to some smoggie sites to keep tabs on that one !
He has had an offer on the table for months , but not taken it! Smoggies want him as a winger not an LB! For them he is like a cover player in all positions on the left hand side! He would be a guaranteed start at LB which is his favoured position! However if we continue to show lack of ambition .he will prob take the offer he has on the table!
well it nice to hear that fans are positive, I suppose is just because i was a fan of Buckley and didnt actually think he would go, I think bring back Wooter (an increadible talent Wooter was as well) is correct in august if we havent signed anyone then we can begin to worry, Wichelow needs to step up now though, which I think he will and Hodson will become a key character next year. So do people think we will do better or worse next season then???
At the moment it is hard to tell GB depends on if we get any ins and have any more outs! if MM stays we will be ok if he goes we will struggle!
