A great day out at the triangle stadium, we were awful for most of the match but managed to dig in and get the draw, a sign of a promotion team surely.
Here are my player ratings from the match:
Bull 9 - Made some amazing saves once again, nothing he could do for the two goals
Mccoy 6 - A bit quiet and came off early
Winfield 6 - Was fairly good, but made a howler for the own goal
Johnson 7 - Defended well in parts, but went missing for the first goal
Foster 5 - Poor first touch throughout and was nowhere near adventurous enough going forward
Lewis 6 - Can be excused as he is just fresh from injury, but made many bad passes and was partially at fault for the first goal
Montrose 6 - Poor match, uncharacteristically bad passing all through the match
Sandell 9 - My MOTM, terrorised their defence and made a great cross for the first goal
Betsy 7 - Was good, but sometimes a bit sloppy with his passing
Rendell 7 - Poor match generally but a well taken goal
Beavon 6 - Was not on long enough to make an impact
    Subs:
Pittman 8 - Great energy and enthusiasm and a well taken goal to round it off
Donnelly 8 - Completely changed the game, freshened the team up and was never short of ideas going forward
Westwood 7 - Not on for long but showed a couple of neat touches

Today after our first half performance were lucky not to lose, but after the own goal we snapped into positions. JP played great throughout and should really start some matches for wycombe. Donelly played well however i noticed how he would keep the ball to long rather than passing to Besty begging for the ball. Betsy grew in confidence trying to take defenders on and like JP and Rendell chased the defence on many occasions with great pressure. Bull made some great saves and kept us in it with a great save in the second half.

Thought when we came back from 2-0 down with 2 quick goals we would go on and win but all in all well happy with the draw<party>

fair play to the lads they fought back well from 2 nil down and at the death either side could have nicked it so a fair result in the end

I can remember going to Oxford when Wycombe were in the Isthmian League. We were 2-0 down with 10 mins to go and won 3-2. But that was Oxford City. There were 2 Oxford teams then. Anyone know what the other one was and what happened when we played them?

That was the Oxford City you were referring to Ron, and not hte Oxford Utd who are more famous for nearly merging into Fat Bob Maxwell's blubber and having an unfinished ground. As far as I am aware only two teams ever in Oxford - city and utd.

Oxford City now playing in the Southern LEague

Oxford City was the team we played in the Isthmian League (ie the team we beat 3-2 away) but the answer to the question is Headington. They beat us in a cup match but had to forfeit the game for fielding an ineligible player. Headington later became Oxford United.

Wow didn't know that, before my time Ron :cheesy:

I do remember Oxford Utd's Manor Ground having about 27 stands, all with a capacity of about 500 each. It's funny how they've gone to the other extreme now, from having too many to not enough stands.
