    So would I if I'd put £70 million of my hard earned cash into that bag of sh*te of a club.

    Absolutely ridiculous! If he had a 5 year deal i'd think it's fair enough but rating him nearly double what Nasri has been rated at when he's got 12 months left on his contract!

    This one looks almost certain to go to transfer deadline day. I don't think we'll be involved with the figure to buy and wages. Just out of our bracket. I still don't know whether its worth the risk after his behaviour here last time anyway. But he was a damn good player. You can see what will happen though, Whelan is putting out the feelers to see what he can get. Clubs are just circling, enquiring and baulking at the price, knowing full well that come deadline day he'll force a move and they'll have to accept something in the region of 12m. I understand what he is on about though. He is defo referring to Hendersons move.

    Doesn't look like he's actually asking for £20Million though .. just that any offers so far haven't matched what Wigan want .. which I thought was closer to £9Million and Stoke (or someone) bid £6Million .. of which somewhere in between would probably be a fair price ..

    if you compared zog to what villa want for downing i,m not surprised. 20m for downing is ridiculous and we ain't going to spend that kind of money on zog

    Only got a year left on his contract though so theres no way he'd go for Henderson money, or the potential fees discussed for Downing, Nasri, Modric et al. Talent or not his contract situation means he won't go for £20m unless someones really desperate to get him.
