Liverpool are the main candidates i suppose with spending a stupid amount on andy carroll (36m) and jordan henderson (20m). just ridiculous and then man utd spending 22m on jones and then sunderland who arent even anywhere near a european team and they spend 13m on Conor Wickham. I could go on for a while, I mean its not that clubs are spending this amount of money, its about who they are spending the money on... these players are nothing special, just average premiership standard players This got me thinking that this could be the reason why we have not seen anyone come through the doors at elland road yet, are clubs just asking way too much for their players (leeds certainly aren't, schmeichal for 1.3m) or alternatively are leeds just being cheap sakes and not offering enough wages for the freebies that are around

home grown players are worth a lot more now due to changing rules in Europe which are being introduced
so we have a new homegrown player who's signed a 3 year contract and will never get used and/or won't be good enough, so he'll sit around soaking up money until the end of his contract at which point he'll leave on a free after having provided nothing for Leeds United. I just can't get my head around why they haven't even got the 2 wingers to sign new contracts yet.
Phil Jones is worth every penny. He's the best young English defender to come through since Woodgate.
Clive, im more talking about andy carroll to be honest theres no way that hes worth 36m and fabregas is worth 35m. hes not even that good in my eyes
