I doubt it he is our captain and after a knee injury he is ruled out until March

    He'll like Norwich, it's a lovely place.

My other half is from there and I really like going down to visit.

Shocked Leeds have let him go though.

    That is all.

This is not good news. I think the crowd reaction on Saturday will not be good.

Hes better sitting behind the striker in a Gerrard kind of role than in a flat 442. Loves to get forward, can pick a pass only bad thing about him is he can go missing for the whole game!

Good player though, good luck from your little feeder club. BATES OUT.

As much as I love the lad, and think he should stay, at least he's joining a decent team like Norwich who will use him well. And Lambert is probably up there with the best managers to improve players. A little too attacking to play in a midfield two, but under a good tutor he'll definitely become a top premiership player. Oh how I wish we would just sort out our contracts sooner! :(

some good comments about howson from you guys. he's just what we need , and another leader in our team of leaders! always impressed against us and likes to bomb forward. bradley johnson has been a bit of a surprise, just how good he has been, so if howson is rated highly by you lot, cos johnson certainly wasn't, then we should have a cracking player on our hands! heard rumours leeds will replace him with your ex-starlet fabian delph. any of you heard that?

we've got hoolahan and surman who both play off holt and morison at the moment but howson is a bit different and its great to have the options. if his contract wasn't running down, how much would you suggest he is worth? is £2m a good deal, even though his deal is running out?

We both got a good deal out of that to be fair. Hard one to call, looks like he can handle the step up & with Lambert putting an arm around him I think you will see him devolp into an England player. He has just started knocking on the door for the under 21s but if he gets game time he will be noticed. Played a lot of games for a youngster & is/was our club captain from a very young age. Squeeky clean as well, loves a bit of fishing & I am sure his mrs just had a baby.

If he was on a 4 year deal I would have said you could have him for anything around 3.5 mil IF the money went back into our team (history tends to show this doesnt happen which is what makes this deal even worse for us fans)

thanks. sounds exactly like a lambert sort of player! he'll look after him, don't you worry about that - he is in very good hands with our manager and i'm sure you'll have plenty of add-ons if he gets to international level etc.

good luck finding a replacement (assuming the deal goes through that is!).

Johnson, (apart from his long range shooting which is god-awful...) is very good. he manages to boss the midfield against the big guns in the premier league and can score with his head. I also don't understand how he's got hardly any yellow cards this season, just gets his tackles right. Good at getting Joey Barton riled as well apparently...

This sounds incredible. When is he due back from his injury?
