Has anyone any idea or news on what the BHA is up to in relation to an investigation into the Johnny Murtagh incident after Sole Power's win in the 2013 King's Stand? It seems some kind of exchange between he and Sarah Lynam may have taken place in the enclosure after the race. The "coming together" was spotted in the United States and his since made it's way to the offices of the BHA. Young Sarah certainly looks sheepish after the affair. Her body language is interesting. The suggestion is that she handed him something, but it looks to me as though if anything was passed, it went the other way. The clip is below.

I think as I understand it, the conspiracy theory is that he was passing her a little electronic device which was used to shock the horse to run faster. Fascinating theory, lets see what special agents BHA can come up with!

Looks to me like a handshake - made slightly awkward by the fact he was holding his whip in his right hand. Became more of a sort of "finger squeeze".

We've just had an up country bloke thrown out of the game. They found electric spurs at place.

If the horse had got beat I'd have said it was the infamous butt plug <laugh>

In all seriousness though, if they had been practicing some subterfuge, would anyone really be stupid enough to hand something over in the winners enclosure, when the eyes of the world are on them? I take it the lass is the owner?

Perhaps Murtagh was handing her some hotel keys? :emoticon-0103-cool:

Looks suspicious to me. She appears to have taken something as she immediately looks down to see what's in her hand (maybe she's done that before), looks a bit sheepish and then slinks away.

Why does she shy away from the camera looking suspicious, she doesnt look like her dad just won a Group 1 at Ascot.

Spot on I reckon. They're randy little buggers these jockeys. I read Dunwoody's book a while back and he boasted in that of riding a winner at Worcester early on in the card then taking a lass to the local travel lodge before getting back for a ride in the last. Just checked the card, my money would be on, Murtagh rode in the King Stand at 3 pm, rode Ms Lynam and then got back for his last ride in the Windsor Castle at 5.30. Good lad!

"it was also established that at no time did Johnny Murtagh pass any item to Sarah Lynam"

murtagh clearly passed something to her that she tried to hide from the view of the camera so dont know how they established that

nothing was ever going to come of this at it was a bookie owned horse and the bookies own racing, probably nothing would have happened regardless of whos horse it was to be fair but obviously something dodgy been passed or else they wouldnt have to lie about it

dirty crooks, i want payed out on Shea Shea

It's inconclusive on that footage and it look's harmless enough to me but on the other hand Murtagh has always been on board when Sole Power was doing his best work at the top level ...
