Is he not playing well because he is out of position or has he complained about that and TP is getting revenge in his normal way or was he rested with Upson for Thursday

Excellent result yesterday which I forecast From MOTD looked as though it could have been 5-4 to us

Hope Thursday is on ITV 4 although it may be Spurs and Fulham's turn to be on

He probably played wilko because he needed fastest fullbacks to cope with nani and young, then woodgate because he wanted some experience at the back.

Agree with delap, it isnt a snub at huth. Its nice to see that we are able to rotate players now, even those we have got used to seeing every match. Can confirm game is on at 8pm itv4 on thurs.

Just my theory, most probably completely wrong, but I reckon picking Wilkinson was deliberate against Young, as Young has not yet managed to get the better of Wilkinson when playing against him.

  7. Love Wilko sarge, what a total 100% hero! He deserved to score yesterday, top drawer save kept him out somehow.

Ashley Young barely featured yesterday, shown up for what he is really, a fairly average winger at best and overrated in my book.

I thought that of Young when he was at Villa, but he's improved no end in my opinion whilst playing at United. I'd much rather have him on the wing than Downing, Milner or Walcott for England. Mind you that's not saying much I know!!

If I come over for a visit how easy or not will it be to get a ticket Does anyone know if you can pay by card over the phone and pick the ticket up on match day or before

I only go to the Brit occasionally and I get my tickets on line via the SCFC website and I have also in the past phoned the ticket office. They will post the tickets or you can collect them from the ticket office at the Brit before the game

Yes, you can pick up tickets on the day mate.. some advice though. It might be worth booking over the phone mate, then pick it up on the day of the game.
Re Huth, I'm actually pleased that Wilko played yesterday. He was an absolute star and as always ran his nut's off! HOW he didn't score only a fantastic save then the bar
    saved Utd.

Huth is a C half end of.. IF Wilko is fit I would play him.. although like Nick say's it's nice to have a choice.. same problem with Upson and Woodgate rotate cos we have the Europa cup which I actually think we could do quite well there.. plus the L/Cup and of course the FA Cup.. nice time to be a Stoke fan for sure.

Young as been on fire for Man U this season and created a lot of their big goal scoring games. He would have run Huthy ragged yesterday and TP was switched on enough to realise this hence a younger and fitter Wilko. Wilko had him in his pocket to be fair and so much so that Fergie took him off for Wellbeck. All credit to TP for that one and also Wilko for his outstanding contribution!

I think rotating Huth at RB is a poor decession, said it from day 1 he a CB - end of! Regardless of how good our 4 CB's are, it is only going to cause friction in the long run - 4 into 2 just doesnt go and someone is going to get compromised! For what ist worth, Woody was responsible for the 1st goal and it was probably a penalty aswell so was it justify to play him over Huth or Upson?

I also think Woodgate over Huthy is a mistake. Woodgate gave away the free kick that lead to the goal at Norwich and also was hopeless at Sunderland. Huthy is solid and can also score which we saw that last season. Woody should be a bench sub for me!

Thanks Guys for the info regarding tickets I hope to visit relatives and see a match soon and it would be great to meet for a drink before/after or both!!!

If I can get a ticket for Boothen End the memories will come flooding back like queuing at 6am in the snow across the car park for a cup ticket and training under Boothen end with the great Denis Smith when there was no gym Those were the days

No one has bought the seat to my left it's the only seat that isn't held by a S/T holder anywhere close to me. IF you P.M. me whenever you can get to a home game I will glady give you the seat No and a bonus SIS it's Boothen End and that first <ale> is on me!
Of course, if you have family with you that's a bit difficult I know but, the offer is there SIS.

Enjoy Spain matie, let's face it sun, sea and Stoke sounds good to me! <ok>
