According to football manager you can constantly change your 25man squad until the transfer deadline..... not sure if this is strictly the case though!
players can play 24hrs after signing and not before. Not sure about the 25 man squad thing. I guess the manager needs to submit a new one before the new player can play?
I may be wrong (it happened once in the 80's), but I think any new players can get straight on with it once registered. I suppose the question then, is if at full capacity, does a player need to be dropped out of the the 25 at the same time?
you can have as many players in your team during transfer window as long you can submit a 25 man squad at the end of the transfer window 21 and under don't count to you 25 man squad players can play 24 hrs after singing/papers confirmed by the fa and any work permits for certain players.
