My girlfriend, of nearly 2 years, who i have known for ages, said to me this week that she thought Hull was on the coast. She actually thought I was winding her up when I kept telling her it wasnt. She even said she thought it was known as Hull by the Sea
I know, technically it isnt on the coast, but thats how I describe it. mind you, I was looking at the BBC weather maps on my Sky Text... and you have to select an area to look at to find a detailed picture and to my surprise we arent on the North East map like Id have thought. Were on the East map. that includes places like Norwich. strange.
yeah but describing it to Johnny Foreigner in Texas, its easier just to say "its on the coast" than to get technical.... I dont wanna have to spend time telling them what an estuary is..........
