I was Speaking to 2 Sunderland fans in the summer and talking about who I thought would be good buys this summer and I said that DJ Campbell for 1.25 m was a bargain and they laughed at me but I genuinely think that with that type of box player today you would have won because he would have scored during that spell of dominance. Gyan looks good but hes not a natural goalscorer and runs the channels well without getting in the box enough. Do u agree?

DJ may well have scored yesterday. He was the type of player who maybe could have nicked one.

I agree entirely. We never look likely to pull a game back after we go behind , and lumping the ball upfield isn't a plan. It smacks of despiration.

We need a proven top level striker in the next 10 days , or it'll be a long hard winter.

What worries me now is that Gyan might decide that he can't play in a long ball team and clear off at the earliest oportunity.
