I left (well booted off) JA606 cos I called the posters on their moaning idiots for wanting AVB sacked, the admins don't like people complaining about the posters or the site which I'm sure Spurcat would confirm after the admins kicked him off the site quite spectacularly.

    So what's it like here?

I used to post on the old 606, supported Spurs since I was a kid and will stick up for even the most rubbish players we have, even if they sat on their backside all game I'd try find a glimmering light for them <badger>

    Welcome <ok>

The answer to your question is, much like the old606, except a better format, less silly rules and a higher standard of moderation.

Not sure what you were doing on JA in the first place, as you seem to be able to write in sentences; I was under the impression that the forehead was the preferred body part used for 'typing' over there...?

Everyone on here has had their fair share of "moaning idiot" moments, and you're more then welcome to remind anyone if they act as one.....especially Chelsea fans!

In terms of your optimistic viewpoint, I'd say our board is split about 50:50 between moaners and praisers, a good mix which encourages debate.

  6. Beware of the Mouser and Gooner boards, as they operate heavy-handed moderation, and do not react at all well to honest and frank criticism of their clubs. The Chav board was bad, but seems to have improved greatly over the past few months, with a new mutual respect seeming to have developed between our two boards. The two Manc boards are okay for open debate.

I like to think that the Spurs board is the best, with even-handed moderation, a good mix of topics for debate, and a very broad spectrum of views and opinions among us Spurs fans. A mixture of views on any given topic, here, is actively encouraged, whereas (for example) the Gooner mods seem to take a very dim view of any poster (especially any of their own fans) disagree with the generally accepted mod-view. PESKIE (one of the Gooner mods) has even banned his fellow Gooners for disagreeing with him.

I stoppped going to JA606 cos the level of debate just seemed woeful. Most of it was just people shouting names, talking about off-topic, boring stuff and using loads of emoticons. Here it just seemd like people who are more able to string sentences together talking with some degree of knowledge about Spurs. Which is what you want from a Spurs forum, really.

I dunno what the mods are like in their mod capacity since we don't get too much stupid behaviour that needs moderating as far as I've noticed. But they do a good job in posting their thoughts, I'll give them that.

Ah, yes. Ja 606 - why use boring words when a dozen smileys will do! I also have the distinction of being rather impolitely asked by them to voice my opinions elsewhere. TBH, I don't know why I bothered with that kindergarten playground in the first place. It's a wum's paradise, and operated by people who all seem to be disciples of Stalin.
As others have said, this site, and the Spurs board is far superior ( assuming you have more than a handful of brain cells) well moderated, and diverse opinions are usually well debated without descending into personal insults or the prolific use of smileys!..

Welcome LAB to the intelligent side of forums.
Make sure you say nice things about the mods (less likely to get suspended)

The daily occurrence on JA606 is just smileys, abuse, scat, animal porn, calling people ****s, more smileys and wumming.
There is a clique on JA606 and if you're not in it they'll act nice at first, lure you in then hurl abuse at you when you say something they don't agree with then ignore you. Kinda like finding a bird, falling in love, getting married then getting kicked out of your home in to the gutter while being told they never loved you.

What is the Liverpool board like here? On the other site they're a right bunch of girls that report every thing, I got banned off the Liverpool board for posting an article that said they'll sign Jenas and Bentley, I actually thought they would with their track record <rofl>

You'll like it here, there's even a thread on our board were Scousers come to get a reality check.

It's all very different here really, articles don't get buried after a few hours so discusssions(and arguments) can last for ages.

Like the name by the way <ok>

Your description of Ja sounds a lot like the General Chat board on here, LAB.
    Not for the fainthearted.

    Welcome to not606.

There is a character clash on this site Like A Boas but that's all in the way of Spurs supporters. Between us mostly all is calm but we do get the occasional wum from other teams who is duly dispatched with all haste. I looked at Ja606 but thought it too aggressive so came here. Welcome aboard, you'll like it.

My 606 name was Spurs_444 then Digispurs after 444 got banned.

As long as normal articles don't turn in to chaos and people don't get their picture found and spread all over Twitter that they're a **** it's sounds alright <rofl>
