He's useless and doesn't care He walked into a knackered changing room and immediately got hold of the likes of Richard Dunne True He was a big enough character to kick out the bad boys But? He persuaded Joey to come back and play. Remember your surprise to see Joey on the pitch warming up before the first game OK I'll give you that He immediately turned the feel of the group Maybe He got hold of some flare ex spurs players to replace adel who'd started the season taking the piss True thanks He dropped the Brazil goalie and got the best again out of a decent keeper Yeah but what else He's got us to Wembley for the first time in 28years But ..... But apart from that what's Harry ever done for us?
Harry has turned a bunch of useless mercenaries who couldnt give a hoot for the club into a promotion winning team in his first full season in charge. He is a legend along with Neil Warnock in recent QPR history and is the man to take us forward unless he chooses to retire. Rather Harry than Mark Hughes any day.
Here's what Schteve thinks Harry's done for us (a lot), taken from his prematch press conference:
I still want him gone, I hope the retirement rumours are true or we will be signing Cole and Ferdinand to 4 year deals soon. On the highlights, they said Redknapp was going to bring off Hoilett but hill said no and said he'd come off. Hill has more tactical nous than Redknapp. Another example of us winning despite him, not because of him, same for playing Doyle and not playing Yun.
Well, it would be quite ignominious for you to back down now. So are you changing your strapline ? Barton out ? Zamora out ? Harry out ? Really ?
If we'd lost, you'd be saying "I told everyone this was going to happen months ago". Given we won, it looks like you were wrong all along?
. I want them all gone, I wouldn't offer a home a new contract apart from green if he takes reduced wages and Faurlin on a Payp.
We only won because hill said he wanted to come off, our manager wanted to bring off our best threat and the guy who set up the winner. We won despite him, not because of him. Two sub's were wasted correcting the awful starting line up that he screwed up against Wigan as well!
We won but I stand that he isn't right for our club IMO he shouldn't be getting this much praise IMO The players and the club have forged themselves into a team at the right time ... Sorry still not sure that is a QPR team we weren't quick and bright today having just watched the TV Derby very unlucky New team next year so we will have to wait and see Enjoy it lads results are all that matter
All that I expected really. McClaren, the players, the management, all compliment Harry on the job he has done. But oh, no not our DT, he knows best. Harry, isnt getting this much praise. The fans, the players, the management, and Harry, all getting equal praise !!!!!! What was on the back of the shirts the team pulled on after the match...."Were Together" That is what got us the victory today.
That was 89 minutes of sheer hell. We muddled through though in the end. Harry got it all wrong from the off. It was the same side that started against Wigan but they played like strangers. We played like a team against Wigan and I thought we were on the up but today was very difficult to fathom out the mindset and the game plan. We got there in the end. But I need time to reflect on this bizarre and very surreal season to comment any further. I did enjoy your op though SPB. You can't doubt you're content, but something is still not sitting well.
