Blimey Wigan in Europe last year, recently in the premier league and FA cup winners are currently in the championship relegation zone and appear to soon be league 1 as they have confirmed Maloney is going to Chicago Fire, Ben Watson is going to Watford on loan and a new improved offer has been received for mcmanaman

I quite like Wigan, and it is sad to see their sudden demise. a team like us size wise,
a team with ambition and aspirations but with slightly more achievements.
lets hope like us they soon return to the big time.

Having spent a believed £3 million on Adam Forshaw in the summer they have now just agreed a £2 million fee with Middlesboro for him at this rate they won't have a team left.
Just shows how quickly a relegated team can go downhill and how careful we have to be in how we run ourselves many teams have gone from the premier league straight through the championship into league 1

Man City, Leeds, Forest, Wolves,Bradford,Swindon, Porstmouth,Southampton,Qpr, Norwich,Sheff We'd,Charlton, Coventry, Sheff United, Barnsley and now likely Wigan

I was thinking yesterday that it seemed a strange time to lose all their players but then I suppose they are not going to be promoted so might be the best time to get most value and try and balance the books. Must be dreadful for the fans to watch.

I like their owner Dave Whelan and felt sorry for him when called a racist. He isn't a racist just someone from a different era when certain words were acceptable and common place. Now you have to be very careful what words you choose. I expect he was very hurt by the accusations and I could understand fed up of the football circus.
