Surely this cannot go on, due to the lack of funding given to us over the Summer, we are left with inadequate players. Even our substitute Varney, got substituted !!!!. Whats going to happen to Colin?
he's going to walk after not receiving the funds to make a squad worth bothering with. The players he's somehow managed to bring in are now showing themselves to be nowhere near good enough.
I think Colin is sooner or later going to see that he was brought here just to keep a team in the championship and not get promoted. It was a clever move by Bates. I think he obviously knew there was no money for players and he needed to shift a few on (snodgrass etc...) Warnock was the right man for the job and it probably fooled a few fans into buying season tickets as well. We should have had an inkling when there was no money in the pot for Ward. I feel sorry for Warnock and us fans. We are going to get undone this season time and time again by that little bit of quality that we don't have and the odd mistake by players who are hardworking but not a lot else.
All depends on the saga that is supposed to be a T/O - Maybe that is what we need, a string of defeats so that Bates can put to bed any idea that what we have is good enough for promotion. I can't see us winning the next two games either, so depressing but then what did I expect with the situation as it is. Leeds Utd - The new team of 'IF' - IF we get new owners, IF he signs a new contract, IF we can hold on to, IF bates puts his hands in his pockets, IF we sign a couple of icing on the cake players, IF we get a couple of decent loan signings - IF never happens with us just samo' samo'...
With limited cash, NW has produced a team thats hard to beat. Pity its not good enough. Shows you what he could do with the backing. I have stopped trying to guess what Bates objectives are. I hope NW sticks it out. Ultimatums to Bates will get him nowhere, other than the sack. I hope he does not walk, as he is a better Championship manager than most alternatives. Can only hope he stays long enough for new ownership to arrive (given Bates age, that WILL happen, l am just not sure if it will be quick enough to keep him). I expect those who say NW is in it for the money are partly right, but that may keep him here for a short while, it won't keep him here longer term, and if our form goes into a nosedive, I suspect the money will lose its attraction and without a T/O he will eventually go. Just hope he stays long enough for the ownership to be resolved. And, needless to say, in the meantime my hand will be firmly clenching my closed wallet.
Warnock is in such a strong position. He doesn't need the job, and has already stated he will retire at the end of the year. I think Warnock will stay on and make Bates' life hell. He can say what he wants, he can do what he wants, and if Bates don't like it, it's no skin off Colin's nose. He doesn't have to worry about what his next chairman may think. He actually has Bates over a barrel if he thinks about it carefully, and he loves the Leeds fans. He will stay I reckon. And it will make Bates very uncomfortable
Carries on, grinding out results against the weaker teams, getting outplayed and beaten by top 6 teams. Gets to January. Warns Bates that if he doesn't give him money for players he's quitting. New takeover group suddenly arrives on scene. Takeover drags on all month. February 1st. Takeover vanishes into thin air, no players bought, Warnock quits and calls Bates a lying **** in the press. Leeds finish 12th-16th depending on which manager desperate for a job picks up the poisoned chalice.
Me too. Maybe we should have a combined party, like when two kids had a birthday on the same day and used to share the venue. I'm not going to ****ing Dewsbury, mind.
Wouldn't it be great if Papa Smurf and Thatcher snuffed it on the same day, now that would be some ****ing party. i hope it happens very soon
I don't live in dewsbury so it's a good job plus parties in dewsbury involve **** loadsa curry n closing off roads n wearing sparkly dresses not my kinda thing
