Mancini is bemoaning the fact that he has had no new signings (as if he needs any) and now they are being linked with Jack Rodwell ffs !! What's happening is the owner down to his last few billion or is he losing interest now they have won the title. "it's quiet.......too damned quiet"
As long as they leave Daniel 'YNWA knuckles' Agger alone, then I don't care what they do. I think they have a settled team at the moment, which is dangerous.
I did happen to say this would be the case and was called every name under the sun. They are trying to become normal and run like a proper club. Mancini hasnt quite grasped that you cant spend 100m a year and expect to carry on.
Malaga but they are already saying bye bye to football. They are what all money clubs should look at as a sign of what may well happen to them.
If Mancini is moaning about not having made any signings he should get off his arse and make some surely. It's all media b*ll*x isn't it.
Financial fair play. I can imagne there is some one in an office at City trying to lower things down to build a sustainable, legal future.
It seems that Mancini hasn't learnt from the mistake Mourinho made at Chelsea, he could easily talk himself into the sack. In Mourinho's case it was Avram Grant, In Mancini's case its Brian Marwood. This is possibly one of a small number of things that could land Manchester United the title.
What's happening with the FFp? (Not that it's anything to do with us at the moment ). I had read that one of the prime reasons e were bought by NESV was that they recognised our brand was still one of the top six in the world of 'soccer' and that they thought FFP would level the CL field. Also, I read recently that Robert Craft was prepared to buy the club from Moores before H&g were a twinkle in the High Court's eye, but Abramovich money and the fact that so few of the billions in football actually goes back into the community put him off it as a vanity project.
The FFP won't level any playing field. There is far too many loopholes. The way to avoid it is to load up on sponsors. The bigger the brand..the more sponsors it can attract. Some people call it ''commercial whoring'' but if it ensures you beat the FFP, then its a necessity. Sponsorship is generated income, and UEFA have no control over the number of sponsors any club has or can have. Manchester City pulled a swift one with a £400 million naming rights deal on a stadium they don't even own. However its 100% legal, as it was one of their owners companies sponsoring another. Internal sponsorship is legal.
Liverpool are just as guilty for this commercial whorring though. FFP will never work and is a tool to keep small clubs small and big clubs big. Real Madrid and Barcelone will never meet the FFP rules but do you think UEFA will ban them??? no chance lol they will lose TV revenue like you would not believe if they try to chop any big names. The so-called big 20 or so clubs are running scared of the likes of City and Chelsea as they have no other way to compete with them other than change the rules :S Its funny because it wasn't that long ago that only the big clubs could afford world class players and you didn't see UEFA clamber to put that right did you?? Its all bullshit, its the big clubs putting pressure on UEFA in desperate effort to keep at the top of the tree.
Real Madrid and Barcelona will never meet FFP? What? explain. Also its not a case of meeting but at least showing that your are trying to at least meet the regulations.
Oh and Fifa/Uefa have long been moaning about over inflated transfer fees long before Chelsea and the rest. Also the football league have agreed far tighter regulations than anywhere else because they understand that without FFP 10 more Pompeys might happen and they would rather it didnt. FFP will and already is woking, dont be fooled by PSG and Chelsea spending like nutters, they are the only 2 clubs on earth spending mad money this summer and both are tiny nothings in Uefas eyes, so insignificant they will laugh at them should they ever try and challenge Uefas decision.
As of April last year..... Real Madrid are in debt to the tune of €590 million and Barcelona are €578 million in the red.
Not any more though, it just cannot happen. Spain was bailed out and do you think any of that money would be allowed to go to real madrid? Besides they make close to half a billion euros a year, trust me, they have already passed same with Barcelona. Italian clubs, Chelsea, City, Malaga, PSG are the clubs to watch.
