what the **** is happening at parkheid??!! victor away hooper going, half the team are injured and we have no real goal threat and our champions league campaign starts tomorrow. all lawwell seems bothered about is how much profit is made, wheres the ****ing investment though? the new bhoys haven't set the heather on fire so far. I cant be the only supporter who is slightly worried about the game tomorrow? rant over, see you in another 6 months when I need to moan about celtic
We wont be able to buy a replacement striker until Hooper is actually sold. It's not really the fault of Lawwell that half the team are injured. If the likes of Samaras, Stokes and Watt can't score enough goals to get us through a two-legged tie against Cliftonville then they should just give up. See you in the New Year!
don't agree with it but I cant see any big money being spent until - and if - champs league group stages are achieved...even then will only be one or two players. I think its time we put the foot on the accelerator and we can do this without going into the red, or anywhere near it it seems to me
We are all a bit nervous about losing Victor, but it is only the start of the window and Celtic like to do business quietly
The current squad Celtic should be good enough to be beat some (part time?) diddy mob from NI ... if not, they shouldbe sacked. I'd suspect that Lawwell will release funds based on:Champions League, Europa League, No Europe at all. I would hope that Lawwell would be planning for the future i.e. if the current Rangers make it to the top league and start to make money then they maybecome a serious threat to Celtic again - will this take a year or two, 5, 10 -who knows. But Celtic should be prepared for that possibility.
I think ****s are a bit panicky over nothing, we've sold 1 player and another wants to leave too. Its hardly the end of the world. I remember losing Pierre, Paulo and Jorge one summer and then going on to win the league for the first time in quite a few years without any big name players arriving. We lost our first 2 games that season.
alright dev and AP! naewhere to moan at the fitba anymore!! if it wasn't for the fact we have no debt I wouldn't be too bothered about howmuch we spend but we are in the black with millions from victor in tbe bank. plus after the last 16 last year this could be adodgy tie for us
It's not nit picking. It's a fact that we cannot let become a side note....I know who you are referring to however.
We won't miss Victor Wanyama one bit - he's useless .... well, more or less, according to 'an expert' (or should that be 'an ex-manager'). http://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/english/give-lennon-knighthood-for-wanyama-deal-shiels-1-3002365
Forster, Izaguirre, Ambrose, Wilson, Lustig, Brown, Commons, Rogic, Kayal, Samaras, Stokes, Zaluska, Balde, Forrest, Watt, Irvine, Henderson, Atajic. This is the squad for the game - would expect to be able to name a decent 11 out of that lot. IN fact the first 11 names may well be the starting 11? Not seen any of pre-season so far - whats the thoughts on Balde. New Larsson or new Bangura? Will he be picked over Sammy or stokes up front?
Haven't seen the games but the guys in the pub aren't impressed in the slightest but lets not right him off yet, its make or break for his Celtic career tomorrow.
To be fair I could score against Cliftonville - so if he cant - thats it, **** can **** off back to wherever he came from!
Just back from Algarve watched the last 3 pre season games in Jinky , a good Celtic pub . We were awful in every game ,weak in defence everything went through our right back , over run in midfield only two in there just like the Strachan days and the strikers never held the ball up , we were lucky to beaten only 6-2 and 3-0 .
