Here is the brief lowdown: He was transferred to Southampton in summer 2005 having not met expectations at his previous clubs. In January 2006, his contract with Southampton was cancelled, enabling him to sign for Derby County on an eighteen month contract, however this deal was also terminated early, after only four months at the club. He went on too have spells with two clubs over the next fours years back in his native Poland; ŁKS ŁÃ³dź and Górnik Zabrze. This is where it gets interesting... In January 2008, Hajto was found guilty of manslaughter after speeding in his car and killing a female pedestrian at a zebra crossing on a street in ŁÃ³dź. Pleading guilty to the charges, he was given a suspended two-year jail sentence, ordered to pay a fine of 7,000 Polish złotys and given a one-year driving ban. He had earlier been fined in 2004 for dealing in smuggled cigarettes. Wow, I would never have guessed that! ^^^^ That's it for tonight! I remember he got sent off in a game away at Derby on Sky, where pretty much all of our players got booked. Anyway, it seems more than a bit strange that he only got a suspended sentence and pretty small fine (£1,300) if he killed a pedestrian by speeding. I know you are just copy and pasting from Wikipedia but I doubt that story is 100% true as written. (particularly as the source doesn't exist any more)
