Back in 2009 he had a great performance in the u21s European Championship finishing as leading goalscorer and looked to be one of the hottest properties in football. Don't think hes ever lived up to his undoubted ability at Hamburg who were said to be looking to offload him and rumours on the net were that Norwich were showing interest in January. Remember at the time of our last Premiership involvement thinking that hes the type of player who could be a great signing for us.
I've been harping on about him, and he's been in my lists. I think he fits the bill. Yes, he's not had a good time of it recently, but he's exactly the type of player we need, the Scandinavians usually do well in the English game and he' still young. Definitely worth a punt and wouldn't cost that much.
