If you were Beppo what pep talk would you give the lads before they step out to play Man City?

Here is my feeble attempt at motivation...

" OK lads, everyone is expecting us to get Hammered today (joke, some delayed laughter ) and maybe we will be, so we have nothing to lose.

Just keep to our plan, defend as if your life depends upon it, close them down and make life as hard as possible for them. Show 'em how tough we are in the Championship!

Above all enjoy yourselves, use your skills and make sure our supporters don't leave the ground thinking you havn't put in a shift. Give them something to shout about all game.

Remember 4-0 will be a good result (another joke) which makes us Prem material!

I'm afraid I can't work up a lot of enthusiasm for this game. There are about 4 teams in the premiership that would not allow us any sort of an upset, and they don't include Man U. Does anyone else feel the same?

 

I guess it will be full of cliches....

Keep it tight, close down, work as a team, no individual errors, play your own game.... but enjoy yourselves!

 

My City supporting friend says that teams who have come to try to play football back at them have suffered the most. On that basis we may be better off this season with the manager's 'defend first' policy than we were in full flight last year.

I really worry for our team tomorrow - I hope we don't get so badly thrashed that we lose whatever confidence we might have.In my opinion it would be better for Watford to play the juniors so that the first team can say it wasn't them who get badly beaten and therefore they can carry on with the league unscathed.

This game epitomises that is so wrong with the game in our country - two teams just a league apart but financially worlds apart - so much so they simply cannot compete.

Having said that wouldn't it be glorious if we won!!
