Any suggestions or idea's you would like to see for the final game? A pitch invasion? Lap of Honour? ML Flag? Youngsters given a game? It's going to be a great day of celebration, and I'm hoping it'll be well worth the wait!
If we are already up...a pitch invasion seems a bit daft no? Perhaps it is just me. But if they've already done the job I think a lot of applause and a lap of honour would be fantastic. That might just be because I can't make it and a pitch invasion would make me jealous
If there are going to be flags let them be big Brazilian ones to show solidarity with our very own talented Guly.
I love a good pitch invasion! Although now the old man's getting........older.........I don't think I can run off enjoying myself while he's still struggling with the stairs!! Maybe I'll send him off down the stairs 5 mins before the end of the game and I can collect him on my way down after the final whistle!!
Lap of honour would be nice, but I don`t think I or thousands of others will be able to contain ourselves - it`ll be like Walsall last season, I suspect.
They tried with dogs two years ago. That failed. They tried with no dogs last year. That also failed. I say release the dogs again. Let em' run free and wild.
Pre-match: get that bloke singing "The Saints are on Fire" in the middle of the pitch. It would be brilliant having the ground singing along to that. Pre-match - Markus' portrait up on the big screens and the big flag laid in the centre circle, followed by a co-ordinated "there's only one Markus Liebherr" Flags put on every seat for the fans to wave Everyone wearing Red and White - those cool dudes who "won't be seen dead looking like that" should lighten up just for the day. Match - hammer Coventry and then bring on a volunteer from the Kenyan trip, who must be 42, overweight (a little) and still thinks he's got it, and live in Northampton, as a substitute for the last 5 minutes with the crowd now singing "there's only one Fat Le Tissier" Final whistle - party on or off the pitch, players waving and singing and singing "Who the F is laughing now"
I love this idea FLT! Also like the idea of holding up the red/white stadium effect again like last year - that must have been inspiring for the players! Not sure about this though
Idea no.1 - someone should email the club and the singer to get that on! Idea no. 2 - Hey! You wouldn't be saying that when I drift up to the edge of the area and scuff one in the bottom corner. (although scoring from the edge of the area goes a little agaisnt my past career - usually from much closer or within the six yard box)
This thread is perhaps a little premature, can we just get promoted first and then worry about the celebrations.I hate things that could tempt fate!
What I would like to see probably won't make much difference to what I expect to see, which is a pitch invasion similar to last year. Not gonna be too grumpy about this, as last year everyone was sensible and it was all good stuff, probably helped that Walsall also did their job. But let's not make it an annual thing.
Agree with everything but the flags, think that's wrong don't want to be like Chelsea. Bring your scarfs !
