Seeing as not606 came about becuase of the demise of 606, I guess a new version would be created (notnot606 as suggested above)
A few years ago I thought Southampton football club might not exist. Now that was a time I was worried. Not606, well would be a shame. I have never met any of you guys but feel I know most of you quite well but will soon find something else to do instead. Maybe I will stalk Ipswich manager Jim magilton.

This is actually my whole life nowadays. I can't imagine any other way of spending my time. Sometimes I have to tear myself away for a few minutes to go and buy food, but mostly I can get back before the cold turkey kicks in. It's bad enough if CBK doesn't appear for a whole day or more, if I had to face the prospect of never reading his thoughts ever again, I'm not sure how I'd cope. I know some of you do that thing where you go and watch football matches, perhaps I could give that a go.
Well, as I said in the OP, I've thought about it occasionally. I'd be genuinely pee'd off for a while, and I certainly wouldn't know what to do with the wee chunk of my time that I devote to doing this, because this fits in the little gaps. Forum membership and moderating has certainly helped wean me off TV, and that can be no bad thing. This stuff is interactive, whereas TV is passive. I know which one I prefer, even though this is just an exchange of words. As Godders says very well, we are people in a pub. It's just that we're buying our own drinks. And just occasionally I, and my four mates have to throw some berk out the front door. Thankfully, we don't have to do it too often. Cheers.
I'd hope someone else could set up a new one, as I don't much fancy having to make SW my permanent residence. Not606 is good because it's not composed of certain cliques and it doesn't have the type of users on SW who are simply playing a character. Which is odd. You can bet that threads will always get derailed on there by the same few. The only one being a character over there that is amusing or worthwhile, is Bearsy.
Even though most if you piss me off because it so obvious I have a far superior knowledge on everything (except, politics, cricket, F1, super bikes, IT - is it still called that, food, drink, education, American sports, America and a few other things) .... ... I'd miss the people and the characters. I have met some of you and there are a few I'd like to meet. There are some I'd never like to meet unless I was armed. It would however allow my mind to focus on some more important issues in life.
This is the corner of the pub where regular normal people sit having a quiet drink watching the punch up at the other end near the pool table. The thought of getting opinions from SW fills me with horror (anyway, they won't let me on there because my e-mail address isn't posh enough).
In that case should there be the slightest probability that we might meet I shall wear my bullet proof vest.
At least I could get on with my work (like a lot of people I would imagine!). I'd miss it though. Still if Cork ever left I'd have nothing to write about anyway!

It's generally good-tempered and pretty intelligent debate rather than the pointless fighting often found elsewhere on the web. The best way I can put it is that I'd be happy to meet any of you and talk football in a pub. We'd possibly wildly disagree but we'd leave as friends. What more could you want? Vin
